Description

In a Galaxy Gripped by Secrets and Betrayal, Can a Princess Who Faked Her Death Unmask the Puppeteer - A High-Stakes Battle for Love, Family, and Power Across the Stars!

In a galaxy where secrets can be deadlier than blaster fire, Myra thought she had escaped her past. She'd fled the clutches of the Royal Imperialists and embarked on a new life with the love of her life. But secrets, like ghosts, never truly vanish. Now, keeping her true identity hidden is a deadly game of chance, where the stakes are sky-high, and the choices she makes to protect her family walk the razor-thin line between two worlds.

The death of her first-born son, a chilling omen, sets off alarm bells in Myra's mind. Someone is hunting the royal family, and she's determined to unearth the sinister puppeteer pulling the strings. To do so, she must reluctantly form an alliance with a nefarious galaxy gangster and step back into the treacherous political arena.

While her youngest son, known as the Spare, is being groomed for the throne, Myra's daughter forms a deep bond with his wife, which places them in jeopardy. The threats are multiplying as planetary factions, like the Lunar moons, vie for power. The Imperialists will stop at nothing to maintain their stranglehold on the galaxy.

As the political trial of the century unfolds, Myra faces a harrowing decision: reveal the truth to her son, potentially saving her family but sealing her own fate, or keep the secrets buried, risking the ultimate sacrifice.

In this gripping sci-fi thriller, Myra's journey will test her resilience, cunning, and the depths of her love as she races against time to unveil the sinister forces threatening her family's very existence. Will she emerge victorious, or will her sacrifices be in vain? The fate of a galaxy hangs in the balance, and Myra's choices will shape its future.

I truly enjoyed this book. It was interesting and intriguing. I didn’t feel like it was too slow. The character were planned out so perfectly. I couldn’t put this book down.

This book follows Dyanna, now Myra, as she attempts to continue her new life away from the royal court after Jones' rescue and her subsequent reconstruction and witness protection-esque program.

There are entirely too many characters in this book, and about 65% of them could very much be done away with. The haha-references to real life people fall flat (Eldon Musk, president of Mars???) and I was never entirely sure if I was supposed to be laughing at the book or with it. It's entirely possibly I'm too stupid for this book, but lord knows I tried. Also the amount of random sabotage-adjacent explosions was entirely too high. And her son's wife pulling the plug because he was braindead, blowing up the hospital, then kidnapping her to take the blame??

I tried. Thank you for the eARC.
