Description
Martin is a 24 year old guy who falls in love with Frances, a 38 year old woman. He has to grow so fast emotionally that he feels like he just got hit by a speeding bus. Not only is Frances fourteen years Martin's senior, but she's all about putting Zen into relationship, which involves every guy's worst nightmare: talking about your feelings, being conscious of your thoughts and above all, unabashed, honest communication at all times. Martin has no idea what he is getting himself into and the sharp learning curve that's required of him especially when he's in the mood for sex and she wants Zen.

"Do
I want to really know what men are thinking? Yes,
yes and YES. Especially if they are as funny as Martin. I laughed so hard, omg.
I think that every woman should read this as marriage counseling. Maybe if I
read this, then I would have not been so mad when my hubby acted like
Martin!!! The author did a great job of making me laugh, while still
getting his point across. I loved the romantic plot. I loved that the book was
based on a man's point of view. I definitely laughed more than anything
and the ending was also well done. I liked the sex that was written into the
story line as well. It wasn't overkill, but it got the point across. Next time
I get mad at my hubby I am going to think of this book!" - 5
out of 5 stars By The Kindle Book Review.
"Dermot Davis's "Zen and Sex" is a great mix of man-woman
relationship content, humor and Zen. It is actually about how far human beings
go in trying to find their partners in life or their soul mates. Martin is in
the process of learning how to have a meaningful relationship through Frances
and her Zen principles on relationships. To my mind, the main focus of the book
is how we deal with relationships in our age and time, and at the same time,
trying not to lose ourselves. It is told in a humorous way, and it makes it is
easy to see myself and my friends in the same situation as the characters in
the novel. The story is told in the first person perspective and the narrator
is Martin, so we get to look inside the male mind while he goes through this
self discovery. As I turn the pages of the book, I cannot help but wonder what
goes on in the head of Frances too. This book is a must for all of us who have
experienced sadness as well as happiness in our romantic lives!" - Reviewed
