Description
LEARN FROM ONE OF THE BEST MANUFACTURERS IN THE WORLD!
THE CATERPILLAR WAY is a gripping business chronicle and practical guide to strategic decision making and smart investing—all resulting from original interviews with top executives, board members, union officials, investors, and Wall Street analysts. CAT brass concluded that its business model was flawed, and created an internal value-driven reorganization as seismic as it was productive. Its rigorous due diligence in preparing operations in China paved the way for other global operations; its emphasis on core values includes cost control and edging up its margins even through difficult times.
Predictive models for large manufacturers are often off-target, theorizes Bouchard. Based on specific metrics centered on management and CAT’s superb growth over recent years, analysts and institutional investors have consistently undervalued the company. Bouchard looks at long-term mining and global resource trends, CAT’s sales and revenues, and offers an optimistic projection for Caterpillar’s future.
