This YA romantic version of mistaken identity is a retelling of the 1935 classic comedy Top Hat starring Fred Astaire and GInger Rogers. During the 2020 pandemic, 16-year-old Jade Knight meets a great guy while working at the local grocery store but soon she notices similarities between him and her best friend Neecy's boyfriend. That’s when the drama begins. Jade struggles to keep the two apart, and when she finally decides to confront the situation, she’s shocked to discover Neecy is happy about her dating Bobby! 

As if this confusion is not enough, Jade is denied the scholarship she needs to pursue her fashion design dreams, her boss at the store os overworking her, and her parents are divorcing. Now, she must make the toughest choices of her life: choosing between her parents, standing up for herself at work, and possibly giving up the two people she doesn’t want to lose.
