From the moment I delved into its pages, I was enchanted by the abundance of Halloween fun and whimsy infused into each recipe. The selection offers a perfect balance of spine-tingling treats and delectable delights, all radiating serious spooky vibes that delight even the most discerning Halloween aficionados.

What truly sets "Creepy Kitchen" apart is its accompanying vintage-style creepy artwork, seamlessly integrated throughout the book. First off, let me say that I love, love, love Halloween. So, upon seeing this book, I knew I had to have it! And it didn't disappoint.

This book is filled with so much Halloween fun and whimsy that I was smitten. A good selection of recipes ranging from beverages, to appetizers, to mains, to desserts. Most of the items gave off serious spooky vibes. So much fun!

Also, I loved the accompanying creepy art work—each piece depicting its adjacent recipe. The art set the whole tone of the book.

This is the perfect cookbook for hosting a Halloween party or the perfect gift for a foodie who loves Halloween.

A themed cookery book that serves up creepy treats for Halloween and beyond.

I usually prefer cookery books to have actual photos but the art style here was perfect. Cute illustrations and a great look overall.

The recipes themselves look straightforward and easy to follow and would be perfect for parties and themed nights.

I absolutely adore the illustrations throughout this cook book. This would be such a popular treat during the Halloween season! It would be such a good gift to give to someone who's into creative cooking. It has a good variety of snacks, drinks and meals that's accessible. As someone who's not a good cook I can see myself making some of the items. I would've loved to see what the food looked like irl. However, I understand that using real photographs would ruin the visual aspects of the book. But maybe it could've been shown towards the end with the index.

Creepy Kitchen has the most endearing spooky illustrations for each recipe. I also loved that many recipes had bonus spooky facts and fun trivia. The recipes themselves were a nice mix of difficulties, and there would be something for every skill level.

Thanks to NetGalley, Kim Kindelsperger, and Quarto Publishing for the chance to review!

I received a copy of this eBook from netGalley for a honest review.

I loved the illustrations in this book which is normally something I hate in cookbooks. I want pictures to know if I made it correctly. But with this cookbook I think some variations are ok. It's not about looking pretty. I could see using many of these recipes on an everyday basis as well as on the holidays they we're created for. There's every food you need to throw a party or just have a creepy night in. I would love to own this book.

60 recipes to help make your Halloween eerie, fun and delicious. They are simple to make and are creative and unique. The chapter names ( like, Bewitching Bites and Shadowy Sides, or Sinister Sweets and Diabolical Desserts) as well as the recipe names (like, Attack of Killer Tomato Soup, or, The Great Pumpkin Curry Soup, or, Whisper and Scream Mac N Cheese) add humor and to this cookbook. The Did You KNow? trivia was cool and an excellent addition. Illustrations were perfect done for the recipes.
There are plant-based, vegan and meat dishes, and I have several I can't wait to attempt to make-Tell Tale Lasagna Heart and Invasion of Brussels Sprouts look excellent to me.
'Creepy Kitchen' will help inspire the inexperienced as well as the professional chef to get into the kitchen and start creating. These recipes are a great way to ssstart the season.

I absolutely adore a good Halloween themed cookbook and this one is such a treat!!! The recipes are unique, none of the standard old "finger sandwiches" or "mummy hotdogs" to be found, and oh what a relief that was to see!! I do not want to wait for Autumn to arrive to make the Bourbon Bramble or the pumpkin curry soup...it all looks too delicious. I hate to wish my summer away but, wow, this cookbook definitely makes me look forward to Fall. I'll be looking for a print copy of this when it hits the shelves.

I love anything cute spooky and I love this book. I think the book itself is absolutely adorable, and with some personal modificstions for taste and dietry restrictions (aka making Gluten Free versions) I could see me actually making a few of the recipes. Nothing in here is particularly groundbreaking, however as someone who often struggles to find simple meals in cookbooks that will do for the whole family. I loved the illustrations, hkwever to do think having a real image of the food would be helpful too, especially as a beginner cook.
I feel like this would be a fun addition to any spooky lovers collection and adding a creepy cute, eerie charm to your kitchen. I know that I will be adding this to my gift ideas list.

This cook book is EVERYTHING my dark Halloween loving heart never knew it needed!! I loved everything about this, the illustrations are perfect. The entire vibe/ aesthetic of the book is so much fun. I love that there were recipes for just about everything. I also loved that there were recipes for Christmas and valentines day. I cannot wait to have this book in my kitchen this fall so that I can start experimenting with all the different foods.

Full of puns and excellent illustrations, I will be definitely using some of these recipes come the spooky season this year! The illustrations for every single recipe are super detailed but in a Halloween themed design that I really enjoy.

Creepy Kitchen is perfect for the Halloween lovers in your life! I appreciated the variety of cute ideas which I gravitate towards but there were also spooky options for those who prefer that vibe. The book itself was also aesthetically pleasing and I adored the illustrations. This book perfectly fits a niche and I think many will enjoy this fall!

Halloween is my favorite holiday, and this cookbook can help me celebrate Halloween year-round. There aren't just recipes for snacks -- there are real foods and veggies in these recipes, making it appropriate for a full day of eating. I do love snacks more, though, and my favorites were the pumpkin spice lattes, spicy hot chocolate, and pretzel bones.
I'm not much of a cook but the instructions here are clear and easy to understand. At the end, there are also tips, such as how to pop popcorn and how to separate an orange. The illustrations are perfect!
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this

What a delightfully spooky cookbook!
The title and artwork immediately caught my eye. I love spending time in the kitchen, and I particularly love cooking themed meals.
My daughter is obsessed with Halloween and all things spooky, so she is going to adore this cookbook!
I was very impressed with the attention to detail in each recipe, added notes, and specialized materials lists. There are recipes that are very simple, and some that are a bit more adventurous, something for everyone!
The illustrations are beautiful and very charming. Overall, the theme of the book is kept up in the design of the end pages and section title pages as well that make the aesthetic of the book exactly what is promised by the title.
The additional information at the end of the book involving many detailed cooking tips is extremely helpful for everyone. For instance, I now know how to “supreme” an orange!
The author truly thought of everything to include in the cookbook!

Cookbooks have recently become a fun thing to browse at. Now that I’m inching out of baby phase and have a little more time for that part of life. And my daughter absolutely loves to help cook. So with summer around the corner, I wrote down some fun ideas our family can try out. It was very fun to recieve some advance copies of these cookbooks. 🥗🍔🌮🍤🍪🧁🧀🥚🍇🥯

Gathering Boards by Sarah Tuthill was making my mouth water. I love a good charcuterie board, and this book was chalked full of ideas, how to lay the board out, different seasonal boards. I want this book for a coffee table book because the pictures were so vibrant and beautiful. It made me want to text all my girl pals and plan a patio night. (Publishing date is June 3) @globepequot @sugaredlittletreats

100 Afternoon Sweets by Sarah Kieffer made me walk to the pantry and grab my secret stash of chocolate. I have so many post its for this one to make with my daughter this summer. I always run into the problem of never knowing what to bring to a girls night, or family cookout. But this book had SO many yummy treats that anyone can make. (Publishing date Sept 30) @chroniclebooks @sarah_kieffer

The Crab Pot Cookbook by The Griffin Family….this was hands down a beautiful and such a fun family effort cookbook! I LOVE seafood, and tell my husband that we must retire or visit frequent the east coast so I can have my lobster. I live in the Midwest, but let me tell you, I am bringing this cookbook out for some fun summer nights! I love the explanations, the creative new things I’ve never heard of, and it was so beautifully put together. It made me want to meet this family for how fun it was. (Publishing date October 14) @thegriffinfamily__ @flashpointchicago

A Couples Cookbook by Sonja Overhiser and Alex Overhiser was the most precious couples cookbook I’ve read. I received many for my wedding gifts, but this tops them all. I loved the introduction full of their story, and the pictures of them throughout the book. The meals looked so fun, and easy, and it was so beautifully put together. My husband and I always say it will be fun to make more than our five staple kids dinners eventually. @acouplecooks

I basically wait all year for Fall and spooky season, so this cookbook is perfect! The recipes are organized based on course which will make planning a Fall/Halloween party super convenient. There's also a fun "Goth Valentine's Day" section and a helpful how-to section. Every recipe has fun artwork that really sets the tone and make the book so much fun to look through.

This cookbook is the CUTEST!! I absolutely love the illustrations and there are so many recipes I’d love to try. So perfect for the upcoming autumn and Halloween season!

This book is super cute! I love all the pictures and all the blurbs that appear above each recipe. I also loved how - even though it’s spooky-themed - it included Christmas (Creepmas) and Valentine’s Day.

The recipes are all everyday ingredients with easy-to-follow instructions. There are how-to’s at the back of the book for more technical needs. I also love that it has a well done index. I appreciated that the recipes are perfect for kids and adults - except maybe those tasty sounding adult beverages ;-)

Throughout the cookbook, I saw nods to the Addams Family, Beetlejuice, Frankenstein, Dracula, and many more.

Overall, this cookbook is done so well. The pictures, while cartoony, are also well done so that you can get a good idea of what the finished dish should look like. The steps are easy to follow and well-detailed. This is a keeper!

Let's start this review by saying two things:
1. I have never wanted a physical copy of a book so much! It's so beautiful, the illustrations, the aesthetics, the recipes that look incredible even though they are just drawings. I would love to have it in my home and would definitely show it to all my guests with a proud smile. What a beautiful edition.
2. My God, how hungry this has made me. I want to try all of these recipes and I honestly can't wait for Halloween.
The only downside is that, like I said, you don't really get pictures of what the finished recipe would look like, so it can be confusing when you're cooking. Other than that, this is a pretty perfect witchy book.
5 pretty stars!

Love love loved all the recipes . They are cute and creative and it’s definitely a book I’m going to be pulling out during spooky season.

4.5 stars.
So many great, creepy, yummy, spooky recipes for not only Halloween, not only for October, winter, but all times.

I did not expect to see such a nice variety - glad to find recipes for salads, starters, sides and mains.

I also found the genuinely helpful heeds or interesting ‘did you know’s very unique and engaging. Some of the ‘did you know’s are related to literature, which was a nice touch.

The style of the illustrations are not a style I would usually like, but they look awesome in this book. They are wonderful and spooky.
