Description
When it comes to love, falling is encouraged
When faced with fight or flight, Silicon Valley marketing executive Tania Beecher always picks flight. Whether riding out a panic attack under her weighted blanket or self-medicating with a good merlot, she’s never seen the point of feeling her feelings if she can avoid them.
Overcome with anxiety at a corporate retreat in Yosemite, Tania flees, only to get caught in a sudden snowstorm. She’s rescued by Nolan Wells, a free spirit who happens to be the best rock climber in the world. After spending the night in his van, she finds herself drawn to his serene self-assurance—even more than his chiseled body.
Inspired by Nolan’s outlook on life, Tania decides hers needs a major reset. Motivated to finally take her company’s six-week sabbatical so she can figure out her future—and whether she and Nolan have one together—Tania falls headfirst into the great outdoors.
At first, it’s a welcome reprieve to climb granite instead of the corporate ladder. But after discovering Nolan’s death-defying secret, Tania must confront her fears head-on and determine whether the reward of loving Nolan is worth the risk of losing him.
Adrenaline junkies and indoor cats alike will want to strap in to this opposites-attract rom-com that proves love is the most exciting adventure of all.

In this book, we are following Tania who works in the leader of the marketing team of a company (Habituall) that just decided to go on a retreat. Our main character Tania leaves an evening that her team was having and ends up meeting a guy who lives won his van- Nolan Wells, a well-known rock-climber, but Tania does not know that. She will discover that she is in great need of a sabbatical and will take the opportunity to find out more about herself and this Nolan Wells.
I loved this book. It was my first time reading about rock-climbing, so the whole vocabulary and everything was new to me (but it was also new to Tania so I was learning everything alongside her which was nice).
Anxiety is in my opinion very well represented in this book. It’s in the form of someone that Tania named Hammy and u found it confusing at first but then I just saw that it was just something that we do experience. We hear this voice in our head and this voice could have a name. It is a way to show that anxiety is real.
The mixed media in this book was also great. There were texts to her therapist, articles, work messages, and other things.
The chapters were not too long and the book was written at the first person narrative. There was also not really miscommunication which is quite rare in romances.
I would recommend it!
I absolutely adore this story. I could relate so much to Tania and how she processes her feelings. Enter Nolan who helps her out from her anxiety ridden trenches. I loved how they interacted ans it was so fun watching her come out of her shell and experience life and the great outdoors while at it! ;) Such a great message about how certain people can help us bring out our best selves.
