Description
We follow Loddy and the troupe from The Garage Theatre as their lives unfold against the backdrop of political events in Montreal starting with EXPO 67 and ending in 1970 with the October Crisis. With the city as background, Loddy-Dah explores issues of self-identity and self-acceptance, the magic of friendship and love, and the power of resilience in the face of adversity.

what an energetic piece of work - the ingenious notion of using a group of sympathetic outsiders to frame the story of Loddy means we see her in many contexts and her story unrolls as she meets friends, a sympatico lover and awkward immigrant family with a background of the Sixties - the Bed event with Lennon and Yoko, a touchstone for many of us in our late middle age - is memorable and life changing for her. really enjoyable with a feel and structure that stretch the imagination and entertaining.
