Description

Lidia has one job: to convince the psychiatrist at the center of her criminal case that she really is telling the truth about her past lives, outside the scope of present-day New York. If she fails to win him over, the world as they know it will be overtaken by the influence of a fugitive from another dimension, capable of corrupting the minds of countless innocent people in its bid to destroy existence. If Lidia's story doesn't strike a chord with the doctor, the whole world may pay the price.

During the Middle Age's most turbulent era of strife, a colossal wall of white fire inexplicably spreads across Europe, burning everything in its path. Against his better judgement, a soldier named Maddock abandons his isolated life to lead a village of desperate survivors to the mountains where deep caves might protect them from the inferno's destruction. Scrambling to stay ahead of the fire, the group gets caught in the middle of a savage battle between two rival armies who've been forced to confront each other midst the chaos. Competing for the protection of the depths underneath Jagged Peak, the refugees come to realize that there are things in life far more dangerous than a ravenous fire. Below the surface, the machinations of a temporal anomaly responsible for the dimensional fugitive, threatens to tear their delicate world apart. The same exile Lidia fears may have broken through to the modern era. Unless they can survive long enough to find him inside the mountain, everything they hold dear may be at risk.
