Description
He is evil and cruel, killing humans as well as immortal Arash in cold blood, yet an invisible bond seems to link Livia to Eamon.
She seems to have it all, but the search for her mother Rebecca sets disastrous events in motion. Suddenly it’s Livia who guards dark secrets, who hides the truth from her friends. Hurt to the core by Cassius’ infatuation for another girl, which causes him to turn even against his closest friends, she alienates herself from her Arash family and becomes an outsider once again. Will she inevitably lose everything – her love, her family, her life – by defying all Arash laws? Or will her courage and impulsiveness open up unimaginable worlds before her?
Like the previous books “Shadow Hunt” and “Raytara – Judgement of the Stars”, the third volume of the four-book series, “Tasagalt – Cross of the South” is a gripping love story about unthinkable challenges and dangers in the fascinating world of the Arash.

Love, love, love this book!
This is the second book to the Arash series, and it won't let you down! This book picks up the story of Livia and her "family". After the shadow hunt, things start to go wrong. The "family" is in trouble and must find a way to stay together. Just like the first book, this book is full of action, adventure, twists, and turns. It held me captivated til it was finished. I can't wait to see what the "family" has in store for them next!

I really love this book.
It’s full of adventure, twists and romance. This book is just so nice that I can't seem to know when to stop. I have to say, it's wonderfully written. Although I felt confused when I first read the beginning but I eventually understand what's going on. This should be recommended to those who love SciFi and Fantasy.

The world that the author has created continues to be completely unique and surprising at every turn. It really leaves you never knowing what will happen next.

Followup Doesn't Disappoint!
This is the sequel to Arash-Shadow Hunt, which when I read it, was one of the best books I had read in a long time. It’s a really different paranormal/science fiction series with just the right amount of romance, mystery and magic.
I would recommend this book to all paranormal book lovers out there, especially the ones that like something different from vampires and shape shifters.

At last Livia’s stories continues
Having read "Shadow Hunt", the first book in the series, which I really enjoyed, reading the second book, "Raytara - Judgement of the Stars" was a must! What was going to happen to Livia after she became an Arash at the end of book 1? Well, I won't spoil your enjoyment by spilling the beans, but I can say that lots of things happened which I hadn't expected. But then how can a human know what to expect of Arash who may be like humans in some ways, with their own individual personalities and idiosyncrasies, but who also live in a completely different dimension? The suspense is maintained until the last page and leaves the reader (me at least!) looking forward to plunging further into this universe. Roll on the next book!

Fabulous follow up
Once again it’s a fast paced story, full of romance, heartbreak, mysteries and secrets. I didn't envisage half of what happened, Elke certainly kept me guessing about which way the story would go! And that's the sort of reading I like best, stuff that's unpredictable, that keeps me wondering what's going to happen. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the series :) esp with that tantalising glimpse at the end...and it’s one I'll definitely keep for re reading.

***ARC Review***
Love, Love, LOVE!!! I couldn't put this book down, not one bit! I was delightfully held captive til the very end. Better than the last two books! The book picks up where the last one left off. Livia has now been an Arash for 6 months, and is enjoying her time with the "family". Everything seems peaceful and happy until Livia and the crew decides to look for her mom. Along the way trouble comes and rips the family apart. I love seeing Livia grow into a strong character and how she reacts to all the chaos around her. I can't say much more due to spoilers. All I can say is MUST READ!! I can't wait til the next book comes out!

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews I was excited to see this third book out – there's only one more to come...So far I've loved this unusual fantasy trilogy about the Arash, a group of sort of immortal humans with special abilitites. No vampires, no werewolves, just Arash, and though I love the others its been great meeting a new type of fantasy character. So, after all the dramas at the end of the last book where is the story going next? I love the romance between Cassius and Liv, he was so determined in his pursuit of her, and they already been through a lot. So it was really sad to see poor Liv hurt so badly when Cassius gets infatuated by another girl....that was heartbreaking, and like the rest of the group I was shocked by it. Then there's the search for Liv's mum Rebecca. They've just found out she's alive, kidnapped for the last 20 years by another Arash, and not dead as they'd thought. Now the search is on for her. Liv sister Sophie features a lot in this book, in the last book Liv was supposed to wipe her memories of the Arash but she didn't, breaking Arash laws. It's just as well though, as what she knows is very important to this book. Poor Liv in despair at Cassius' behaviour, alienated from much of the Arash for the secrets she's keeping, discarded once again she feels by her family, is very depressed. I can understand that – the others are puzzled at Cassius too, but can offer no explanation for his affection for someone else and dropping her....Only Sophie seems to remain steadfast to her she thinks. Of course everything is not as it seems on the surface, but this novel is really full of emotion from Liv POV, and I was so upset for her. Some of her actions seem a bit offkey to the others, but she can't tell them her secrets, though she has their interests at heart always. She thinks they've discarded her, but she still loves them and will look out for their welfare, even if it means risking her own life again. It's a really emotional read, and full of surprises. I hate when leads get superpowers right at the crucial moment, but Elke manages to overcome that by sliding in new essentnial talents as part of the story, of the characters growth and changes. Arash can gain new special abilities as they mature, so bringing them in prior to them being needed works well. Cassius, ah Cassius, what are you thinking??? Liv went through so much, what will happen with their romance, the one enduring constant that's been the real hook to my love of this series? Lots of questions in this part, lots of answers too, but then more questions open up :-) Devious Elke, just Devious! And then that ending! What exactly has happened? My mind is puzzling it opnce again and I need the next book – now, ASAP please. Again a cracking read, full of danger, excitement, puzzles to be worked out, old and new romances to get sorted, and an all round excellent read. Once I've all four books I'm definitely having a back to back reading session with them...
Stars: fabulous read, full of drama, action and emotion. Five stars. ARC supplied via Netgalley
