About to lose his apartment, and desperate to avoid having to move in with his horrendous relatives, shy art student Luke impulsively agrees to a deal from hell: sex with a man he doesn't know in exchange for a couch to sleep on.
His new "roommate" Cooper is everything that Luke hates: crude, uncouth, and covered in tattoos, not to mention openly gay. Luke has all but resigned himself to a miserable fate when it turns out Cooper might want something a little different than he expected.

Translation of my review in German:
Luke is an insecure and confused young man, over-anxious and subdued by his bossy aunts. He tries against all odds to become an artist and has to get along with a part-time job. When he's in danger of loosing his apartment, he accepts a deal offered by Cooper, a regular but frightening customer of the flower shop Luke works at: He can live with Cooper in exchange for having sex with him.
I understand why Luke is afraid of the all over tattooed giant Cooper. Especially after Cooper showed up drunk at the flower shop, tells Luke that he considers Luke is gay and makes a clumsy move on him. Luke's greatest fear is to actually be gay, not to meet the expectations of his family and to be among " those disgusting people", as his family puts it. Since then Luke is afraid of Cooper and the truth that he has unfolded.
I can not understand why Luke actually accepts Coopers offer though he get's sick even when they only talk about it. He explains well why he can't move back in with his horrible aunts. And I see that he already didn't cope with the pressure of a second job in the past. But sex in exchange for accommodation is nothing I can see Luke come to terms with very well. And Luke knows that. Alternatives? None ...
Luckily things develop different. Cooper has his reasons for this strange offer and the more Luke looks behind the facade, the less afraid he is. And as Cooper also offers help to protect Luke against his dominant family, Luke finally dares to look the truth in the eye.
I enjoyed this well-written lovestory of this two emotionally damaged guys who are good for each other very much.
