Description

Bound by blood but burdened by broken trusts, three devoted sisters struggle between unconditional family ties and vengeance-fueled schemes in this pulse-pounding women’s crime thriller by BriAnn Danae.

There’s always a motive . . . but who will take the fall when someone catches a body?

Sisters Mia, Hazel, and Teyona enter the world of corporate scamming, intentionally planning to ruin the lives of those who flipped theirs upside down. While risking it all, the consequences of their actions are the last thing on their minds—only the end goal. They take the “lavish lifestyle” to the extreme and refuse to look back.

When their priorities become unaligned, propositions present themselves, making it difficult for them to decline. With money flowing in, a plot set in place, and their tracks completely covered, the sisters bask in their hard work. That’s until one impatient decision leaves behind a dead body with no one to answer for it. In the name of sisterhood and loyalty, one of them must take the fall, or else . . .

I absolutely enjoyed this book. I devoured it in one day! The characters, the story line, the writing style. It was everything! I already read lots of books by BriAnn D, so I was ecstatic when I was approved for this! Thanks so much! 10 stars!

Mia, Hazel and Teyona stuck together even through family mishaps and unfortunate circumstances. There’s secrets uncovered that leads to a lot of things changing even when push comes to shove. They’re enjoying getting money but didn’t care much about what would happen if they were caught or ran down on. But things soon come full circle with a wrong decision. Good story!!! 4.5⭐️

Just one moment was all it took to reveal decades of secrets and lies. As the truth begins to unfold, there are two important questions to consider: Who can you trust? And how far would you go to protect your family legacy?

10/10. First book I’ve read by Briann Denae and she did not disappoint! I will definitely be getting her whole catalog after reading this one! The drama, the deceit, the lies, the everything!!

Hazel, Teyona and Mia all had their flaws but they were so loyal to one another. I absolutely loved their relationship. Sisters have to stick together NO MATTER WHAT! The sibling I felt like I related to the most was Teyona. She was an outcast compared to her sisters. And the way her father treated her, I felt that on so many different levels. I wanted to hug her so many times throughout the book. Matthew Grant can go straight to hell!!!

This is exactly what I needed after being in a reading slump and I don’t know if I can read anything else just yet. I have to sit with this one for awhile. This will be placed on my list of rereads. I devoured this book! Mrs Briann Denae, your pen game is top tier!!!!

This book right here had me stuck. From the very first page, I was pulled in. This family was hiding so many secrets, and several people were determined to expose them. Mia, Hazel, and Teyona were going through it mostly because of their parents. My favorite character was Hazel. Sis walked in the path of her choosing, not caring what her Dad thought. I felt bad for both Mia and Teyona, neither deserved the mess that kept getting thrown their way. The plot twists that kept hitting in this book had me shook. The author was exposing secrets to the end of the book. Briann Denae wrote the heck out of this book. 10/10 will be recommending this book to everyone.

I received this advanced reader's copy from NetGalley. So this book was good. Dare I say a light thriller. Idk what I was expecting but I knew I wouldn't be disappointed because I like the author. But this book had more twist and turns than a roller coaster. Every time I thought I had it figured out BOOM 💥 another twist and your mind is blown. I will say I did like the growth of the characters. I wasn't too sure if I'd like them bc they seemed a little unlikable at the beginning TO MEEEEE...but they were very well developed and I think I just didn't fully understand them and their story at the moment. Now Hazel I did like. A lot. Also liked Teyona too. But Matthew, Kimberly and Mia didn't like them in the beginning and majority of the book. Then I grew to like Mia a lil bit 🤏🏼 and once learning Kimberly's story I can't say I liked her but I definitely understand her and her reasoning behind a lot of what she did and how she acted/reacted in certain situations. But Matthew, 🙄 he was a different breed. How I felt about him in the beginning was how I felt about him at the end. The story was good and it seems different than her typical work. But I do have 3 questions that I need to ask the author bc I just gotta know these things bc I'm nosy 😆

This book was amazing! As a BriAnn Danae fan, this is some of her best work in my opinion. It just shows how versatile her pen is. I felt like I was in an episode of Reasonable Doubt, How to Get Away with Murder, and murder she wrote all while being Jessica looking for clues. Then add a little spice, creeping, and sneaking BOOM! It was so bomb! This book deserves all the praise.

This was my first read by BriAnn Banae and this was an easy 5/5 l enjoyed the story line all the way through. Jack Girlz Atlanta was a book full of family lies and secrets. Despite the family drama I was glad to see the sister Mia, Hazel and Teyona stuck together through it all. I had a feeling something was up with the way Matthew was treating his daughter. I did not care for Matthew at all and let's just say I'm happy.
Overall this was a great read and now I'm about to binge BriAnn catalog.
