Description
Part The Future of Us, part The Time Traveler's Wife, I REMEMBER YOU is an irresistible love story about college-bound Juliet and Marine Corp-bound Lucas, whose romance is marred by one thing: Lucas's certainty that he'll die on a military mission in Afghanistan. . . a mission that won't take place for more than a decade
Seventeen-year-old-Lucas is a star hockey player who's headed for the Marine Corp as soon as high school is over. Then there's Juliet, straight-A student and rigorous debater, whose college trajectory has been carefully planned for years. They couldn't be more different. So when Lucas tells Juliet that he's been having flashbacks--about falling in love with her--Juliet thinks he's playing games. But as their relationship develops, she begins to wonder if there might be something to what he's saying after all. Because as Lucas's flashbacks grow more frequent and more detailed, he starts to remember other things, this time from his future. Like being a soldier in a war in Afghanistan. And confronting a suicide bomber moments before the bomb detonates. Could it be true, as Lucas insists, that he has somehow traveled back in time to relive his romance with Juliet before his future self dies?
