This is a beautifully illustrated encyclopedia on rabbits. It starts with how to care for your pet rabbit and then explains the physiology and life cycle of rabbits. The book then gives a brief history of rabbits and finishes with the various types of rabbits in a kid-friendly way. This book kept my attention and is a welcome edition in any rabbit and animal lover's home.

It's everything you need to know about a rabbit!!! Their habits, habitat, history, etc. It covers everything~
Loving how it involved pop culture at the end so it's something else. Loving the colour and art style. Very cute, and insightful. I would appreciate it more if it contains the cm and kg versions of inch and pound so other part of the world can understand it more easily.

Raise your hand if you were an adult who learned there was a difference between a rabbit and a hare from a children’s book. *me silently raises hand*
I was absolutely blown away by the amount of information about rabbits inside of this book. All presented in bite size pieces accompanied with bright, colorful illustrations.
The author covered everything from how rabbits live in the wild, the anatomy of a rabbit (both inside and out), different species around the world, and even a page dedicated to showing rabbits featured in media & pop culture.
The last few pages feature facts about individual breeds that might be good to keep as pets, which I found helpful and informative.
Overall this is a great resource for children who want to learn more about rabbits. For individual reading I’d say it’s 10+ but if a parent or teacher is reading aloud or alongside a child it would be suitable 4+.
Warnings:
Christian parents be aware evolution is mentioned
Legends and beliefs about the rabbit from other cultures are presented, which include discussion around the rabbit representing fertility or purity
Mating page uses terms like “sexual maturation” and discusses female ovulation & spermatooza
I don’t believe that any of these are a dealbreaker, just something to aware of as you’re considering this book for your bookshelf!
Rabbitology is an excellent book, very informative and I plan to look into the other animal books from this author as well!

From the time I saw the endpages of illustrated rabbit noses, I knew that Rabbitology was going to show this reference information in a different way. The entire book is filled with illustrations to help the reader understanf the content. I think I know more about rabbits now than I ever expected to. From rabbit history, anatomy, diet, care instructions, and breeds, this book has it. This would be a helpful reference book for someone writing a research paper on rabbits, or a perspective rabbit owner.
Thanks to Chronicle Books and NetGalley for an eARC of this book for an honest review.

My son thought this one was fun! It has all the info ever could want to know about rabits including how to care for house rabbits. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

I love rabbits, and have wanted one since I was a kid. Thus, to learn about the animal I’ve dreamt of having for years in an illustrative way is nice. Normally nonfiction books can be hard for me to stay engaged but Rabbitology kept me engaged all the way through. From its gorgeous illustrations and informative text features to interesting facts. I enjoyed that the authors broke down the facts into sections Meet the Rabbit, What are Rabbits like, Taking care of your Rabbit, a special friendship, and lastly Tell me which Rabbit you want and I’ll tell you who you are. If you love rabbits or are thinking of getting a rabbit this would be a perfect book for you.

As someone that has owned rabbits nearly their whole life, this is a great book for someone interested in rabbits or owning them in the future!
From an ecological standpoint, this book goes into detail about wild rabbits and their roles in the ecosystem (the good, the bad and the ugly). The book also goes into a lot of detail regarding owning rabbits, different breeds, special requirements, etc. I think if you have a child that is interested in bunnies, this book is a good starting point about all the care required!
The illustrations were very cute and relevant to the material being presented. My only criticism on this book is that it mentions getting bunnies in pairs, but doesn't mention anything about bonding. Getting two rabbits that don't bond with one another can become deadly in a matter of minutes. Other than that, everything else presented was pretty spot on and very informative.
Thank you NetGalley for a free epub of this book in exchange for an honest review!

What a cute book this is! As a rabbit owner I adore rabbits ( favorite animal ) and thought this book did a great job explaining the difference between wild rabbits and pet rabbits, as well as how to take care of a pet rabbit. All of the illustrations are very cute and the information is not too heavy for young readers to understand. I particularly loved the illustration of what a rabbits warren looks like under ground!

Thank you to @chroniclebooks and @princetonupress for the chance to read this cute book!

Rabbitology is a wonderful idea for children’s visual encyclopedia. It is a gem book for children who are close to nature and animals, and for others it may wake up their interest.
The colorful illustrations go hand in hand with detail information about different breeds of rabbits, how they influence the ecosystem, their behavior and habits, how to take care of them, and much more.
This animal facts picture book is an engaging encyclopedia for curious children. All the facts about rabbits are presented in a fun way.

Rabbitology by ilaria demonti is an absolutely brilliant book that talks about all things rabbits. What are the types of rabbits? How do they experience romance? How big do they get? All your rabbit questions are artfully answered..

I received a copy of this eBook from netGalley for a honest review.
As a rabbit owner I loved this informative and fun book on all things rabbit. I learned some new things and while I would say get more detailed advice before getting a pet rabbit most of the advice was sound. A great book for all of us that love rabbits.

Rabbitology by Ilaria Demonti is a complete encyclopedia of all things rabbit. I plan on buying a hard copy of this book for my EL classroom just for the vocabulary content. I anticipate that students who already have a working knowledge of English will love this book for all the facts about rabbits, ranging from the rabbit life cycle to rabbit poop. I must admit the rabbit poop page was one of my favorites! The students who struggle with English will learn and benefit from the engaging illustrations. Also, all reading levels, regardless of English acquisition, can learn from this book. I predict that this book will end up being a class favorite!
Thank you Chronicle Books | Princeton Architectural Press for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

This book is perfect for rabbit lovers! The author has clearly done their research, diving into a wide range of topics about rabbits, including their various breeds, daily behaviors, mating tactics, habitats, and much more! It even gives a detailed guide on how to take care of your very own rabbit, as well as gives you advice on which rabbit is right for you! I particularly appreciated the section that explained the different rabbit-related myths, and thought that the Japanese story of the rabbit on the moon was an especially interesting one!
