Description
OBJECTIVE: CAPTURE THE MONSTER. DO NOT FALL APART.
In the vibrant universe of Rodatunda, every Rodatundan gets the unique opportunity to own their personal planet. Having fun is the main priority in Rodatundan culture, but there’s one hiccup: nightmares and dreams manifest inside worlds.
Enter APEX Actives. In shining armor, they are dedicated to their mission to clear dreams and vanquish nightmares. Protecting all Rodatundan life, the organization hides behind helmets and masks, have sworn to protect their people, and helps everyone have as much fun as possible.
That all changes when a Rodatundan decides to act like a monster.
The organization is forced to hunt them down and confront their deepest guilt by coming face to face with the one thing they've avoided for so long.
The task proves daunting, especially as the organization grapples with internal turmoil. In a giant universe where everyone has a chance to own a planet, the objective becomes harder to complete. As reality blurs with deception, and ambition clashes with fury, the fate of the kosmos hangs in between. Because this time, the monster they're dealing with is no stranger.
Will APEX remain strong and be able to put their guilty past behind them, or will the monster be successful in getting what they want? Satisfaction?
A Note From the Publisher
Systemic Problem: Experienced by the whole of a group or system, not just particular parts of it.
I love honesty, so as the above definitions suggest, there are thirty named characters in this book and its multiple perspectives. There are scenes with multiple characters speaking and present, and various other creative decisions a reader may find perplexing. But remember, Earthlings, you’re about to read a book set in a different universe. Earth, humans, and their story structures don’t exist. This book is considered creative nonfiction in Rodatunda and the target audience is Rodatundans. This is going to be an entirely different culture and writing for you to explore, so be prepared to dive into something new.
Please read the bonus chapter if you want to understand how this book landed on Earth.
I thank you so much for reading this story, and I hope you have fun. There’s a lot to keep up with, and this will be a series. Content warnings are in the Prologue. Character list is in the back of the novel.

“The diverse cast of interesting characters with unique dynamics was wonderful.”
“I liked the themes of, or rather the discussions of PTSD, PTSI, and collective trauma, which is what drew me to your story in the first place.”
