I'm in love with this book. I love the humorous line drawings, the use of words, and all of the relatable situations. This is exactly what being a parent is like for me, the happy and the stressful. I would highly recommend this as a gift for new parents and to read with young children, to let them know how important they are and how much they are loved. What an absolute delight of a collection! I have been following Loryn Brantz on social media for some time. I loved that this was specifically all about parenting. I loved how it was the unique, weird, and delightful things that make up life as a parent. It was both funny and tender, while being so relatable and real. There are a few different parts to the book to highlight the different stages of parenting, from the newborn stage to well into toddlerhood. Honestly, this was the best collection of poems I could've read as someone with a small child. I completely understood the emotions and experiences behind this collection. I cackled so many times and the artwork was just the highlight. Seeing Ms Rachel mentioned along with the millions of dollars I've spent in berries myself....I died a little inside. I cannot wait for this to be released! I will be recommending to all of my mom friends!!!

Grant's poems brought me right back two the early years of parenting. The days when I was so hopeful and so full of ideas on how to help raise the perfect child. Of course, none of this notions were very practical but I didn't know that. Looking at tiny feet and shining eyes, I just new my kids was special. Right up until the Terrible Twos and Tiny Terrorist Threes.
This book was also a reminder two forgive yourself, huh you'd child, and treasure the moments... Before they become teenagers and you wonder who's idea it was two procreate anyway?
