Description
Txema Ybarra is the most unenviable nineteen-year-old girl alive.
Smart, pretty, and athletically gifted, this University of Tennessee freshman should be enjoying college life and her entrance into adulthood. And for a moment she does…until the vampires show up.
Born with an unusual ‘twin teardrop’ birthmark on her neck, Txema (pronounced Chema) is one of only a handful of females in the world who bear this trait. It marks her as a vessel of eternal youth and beauty for an elite vampire society determined to protect her precious blood….But it also is the only thing standing in the way of a rogue ‘undead’ nation determined to destroy mankind and usurp the power their sexier brethren have held uncontested for centuries.
Caught in the middle of this war after all the other bearers of the birthmark are murdered, Txema must flee America and heads to France under the protection of five beautiful vampires who all have a vested interest in her survival. The race is on to save her blood, as well as her very life, to ensure the survival of Les Amantes de Vampire. Otherwise, Txema will be the last one…the vampires’ last lover.

Wow...this book was okay, but it frustrated me so much! I love a good vampire book as vampires are my favorite paranormal beings, but this book was just so annoying! I couldn't understand for the life of me how things were happening so quickly and the whole pregnancy thing blew my mind.
Txema was a naive, dumb girl. I'm sorry, for her to have turned 19 she looks at each guy with lust in her eyes and it upsets me. At first everything seemed cool with Peter and then Garvan showed up. I was okay with him, but then Armando and Racco and all the other vampires show up and she just becomes a bottle of sexual desire. I couldn't understand why she would even walk towards the danger instead of heading for safety. Then she has sex with her boyfriend in front of a ton of vampires -- I mean she comes from a weird family lineage.
I did enjoy the book nonetheless because it was action packed and drama filled. That ending left me so wanting more because Tyreen is back, but not as her usual self. I'm curious to see how things turn out in the sequel. Is she really having a baby girl? Will she see Peter again? Will Racco come for her? Will she become a vampire?
