Money can’t buy everything, certainly not love. Wealthy New Yorker Claire Lindell knows that. To try to recover from a broken heart, she retreats to her godmother’s cottage in Yorkshire. There she meets local farmer Noah Bradford and thinks that maybe, just maybe she might have another chance at love. Even if it means ruining her pricey wardrobe saving a sheep stuck in the mud. Heartwarming and hilarious.

A Yorkshire Christmas is funny, sweet, and a tempting read. Readers everywhere will fall in love with Kate Hewitt’s novel. An irresistible yet perfect holiday romance story that will melt your heart this season. A wealthy city girl, Claire Lindall, isn’t looking nor expecting to fall in love with a man during the holidays. But, the Christmas season has it’s own surprise waiting for her. Claire maybe a wealthy city girl, but she can be down to earth as well. She helps the sexy Noah Bradford with getting one of his sheep out of the road even when it means it might destroy her designer clothes and shoes. She is the perfect character that readers can connect easily with as well as the new man in her life. Noah Bradford makes Claire fall in love with him. His looks and mannerism has her falling hard. But will she be the only one falling in love? Or will Noah Bradford also be falling in love the one woman who turns his world around? I absolutely loved reading this book! I was hooked instantly and I have no doubt that reader all over will not enjoy reading this incredible story too. I would recommend this Christmas novel to everyone. Readers beware, you will fall in love and won’t be able to put the book down! Overall, I rate this novel a 5 out of 5 stars!

A Yorkshire Christmas is another touching novella from Tule Publishing. It is the story about two people and one little girl that form a family during the holiday season.

Claire Lindell comes from wealth and a reasonably stable home life, yet she has no fond memories of the holiday season. Since her personal and emotional life is in shambles, she decides to spend Christmas alone at her Godmother's empty cottage in England, grading the final exams of her high school students. Noah Bradford is a farmer and single dad to Molly, his seven year old daughter that he sees only once a week. He is lonely and due to his past, rarely does anything but work. When he rescues Claire from her snow impounded rental car, there is a spark that cannot be denied. Claire, Molly and Noah end up spending Christmas together and the rest as they say is history.

This is a heartfelt novella that I really enjoyed. The main characters draw out the goodness in each other. The author, Katie Hewitt, packs a lot of punch into this fast-paced read. If you are in the mood for a quick story that will cause you to laugh, tear-up and swoon, spend some time in Yorkshire.

A cute holiday romance between two people who had issues with love in their pasts. I liked the small town holiday setting. I also enjoyed how their relationship moved from friendship/acceptance to love.

I am a Yorkshire woman. How could I not read this book. I see it as a duty and Kate Hewitt has brought a sweet, touching, festive novella with characters to love and a setting that is beautiful, homely and everything that is rural Yorkshire. It's made me want to jump in the car and go for a drive to the Yorkshire Dales because I'm lucky enough to be able to do so.

I could've read a full length novel. I so wished it had been as it captivated me from the off. Yes everything is condensed and happens over a couple of days but it was paced perfectly and whilst some of Claire's inner monologue seemed a little desperate at the start, it soon became apparent why. But it was Noah that brought the moments that truly tugged on my heartstrings...he stole my heart, although I confess I have a bit of a thing for a literary farmer so he already had a head start.

It was a lovely little read. One of those perfect books to curl up in front of the fire, with a mug of marshmallow laden hot chocolate whilst the Christmas tree twinkles in the background. Add this to your Christmas reading list, you won't be disappointed.

A Yorkshire Christmas is a charming Christmas story about finding love when you least expect it. Also Noah and Claire learn to forgive themselves for their past actions and choose to love again. This is a heartwarming story even though I do agree with Claire about her choices in past relationships. I am so glad that Noah and Molly needed her as much as she needed to be needed. The first meeting was wonderful with the stuck sheep as well as the Christmas tree cutting event. However, the icing on the cake sort of speaking is the Epilogue. Loved it!

What a great little Christmas romance! I read this in one sitting and it left me with a smile on my face :)

Noah and Claire meet in the middle of a snow storm when her car drove into a snow bank and she runs across him walking toward her Christmas vacation cottage. Claire is running from a horrible breakup and Noah is sort of a recluse on his sheep farm. They end up spending Christmas together with a little push from Noah's daughter who unexpectedly comes to stay with him during the holiday.

A perfect holiday read that takes place in Yorkshire, countryside. Claire just wants to have a quite Christmas by herself, mending a broken heart. Noah rescues Claire from a snowbank, only to find out that she is staying in the next cottage over. Noah has his daughter, Molly for the holidays,( he was not planning on this). This book proves that you can have simple holidays and find love when you least expect.

"A Yorkshire Christmas" by Kate Hewitt is the second book in the multi-author Christmas series "Christmas Around the World". This second installment takes readers to Yorkshire, a quaint farming county in England, where a teacher from New York arrives in order to have the quiet Christmas that she wants and then meets a farmer whose gruffness does nothing to cover the fact that he's a gorgeous and seemingly nice guy.

Claire Lindell doesn't want to suffer through another one of her family's "perfect" Christmases and finally takes her godmother up on a standing invitation to visit Holly Cottage in Yorkshire. Claire needs to get away and have time to think and re-assess a disastrous almost affair but what she doesn't count on is getting her rented car stuck in the snow several miles away from her godmother's country home. While walking through the snow, she comes across Noah Bradford and helps him with one of his sheep. From there, Noah helps Claire out by driving to her car, to the cottage, and to the supermarket but thinks she's just like every other rich girl and experience has taught him to stay away from the likes of them.

However, when Claire offers to help Noah out when he finds himself suddenly spending the holidays with his young daughter, Noah doesn't refuse her assistance. Over the next couple of days, Noah's daughter Molly takes a shine to Claire and Noah is surprised to discover that he enjoys being with Claire just as much. Still, both he and Claire know that she's only there for a week and will have to fly back to New York soon enough. Will the season of giving present them with something that they've both truly wanted all their lives?

This was a beautifully written novella and I enjoyed reading it immensely. The story was fast-paced but it didn't feel as if it was skimming over any important details. The characters were also well-developed and even though they appeared to be opposites on the surface, they were quite similar in the ways that counted. Anyone looking for a good Christmas romance should definitely check out "A Yorkshire Christmas". I'm giving it 4.5 stars. ♥

I am really loving all these Christmas themed stories I have been reading here lately. This one is no exception. It is a sweet and touching novella with characters you just fall in love with and a setting that is gorgeous and homey! Add this to your Christmas reading list, you won't be disappointed.

Sweet Christmas story, that shows how a perfect Christmas can be hollow & fake. The true meaning of home is not about how much money one has, but how much love you have.

It’s Christmas and fans of Tule Publishing find themselves outside their favorite fictional town, Marietta Montana. But wait, the setting might be Venice, Italy, Yorkshire, England, the Scottish highlands and Waratah Bay, Australia but Marietta binds them all via the Bramble House website!

You can read the books in any order; all of them are standalone novellas. I’m just presenting it in the order I read it which began with Joanne Walsh’s “Christmas in Venice”, a second-chances love story between Ashlynne and her ex-husband Lorenzo di Grechi.

A story that tugs at your heartstrings, Ashlynne and Lorenzo goes through on what they thought of was a post-mortem of their marriage. All their pains and hurts were laid down on the table and what they found was something that they were not looking for. “Christmas in Venice” is a heartwarming story from beginning to end.

From Venice, we move to A Yorkshire Christmas by Kate Hewitt where sophisticated New Yorker Claire Lindell found love in an unexpected place, Ayesgill Farm in Yorkshire. But shepherd Noah Bradford comes with complications – a daughter; and Claire who is a schoolteacher is unsure if she can tackle kids outside the classroom.

Moving on, we go to the Scottish highlands where Scarlet Wilson tells us a story of “Christmas with the Laird”.

Due to a last minute change in programming, news anchor Juliette Connolly had to go to Scotland with her mysterious colleague Andrew Campbell. There, she was introduced to Garnock Hall and its ghosts. Is it Christmas or is it Halloween? Juliette and Andrew’s love story can give you both.

And finally, we cross the Atlantic and then the Pacific to Australia where Marion Lennox’s Christmas at Waratah Bay” follows farming tycoon Max Ramsey and American supermodel Sarah Carlton. Hmm, their occupations might not be the best match, but how they make it work is the true Christmas story.

All four books are Rated T for Teens and YA for Young Adults.

I am really enjoying this Christmas around the world series, cause all the different traditions are introduced amongst the stories. What a delight!
In Yorkshire Noah lives a solitary life, by choice, to hide his past mistakes. Claire is escaping her life in New York, looking for a quiet, lone holiday on the country side.
Both Noah and Claire have real life problems, things they have to accept, and work with. I liked how they tackled their problems together, built a relationship against the odds over time.
Molly, Noah's daughter, brings a nice aspect to the story as well. Noah has been an absent father for many reasons, mostly not by choice, and is now trying to build a relationship with Molly, getting to know her, building a home and a place to belong within each other.
There is no glamour or prestige in the Christmas in Yorkshire. But there is lots of love, imagination, creativity, allure and effort, that all makes the Christmas time magical for this little family in making
~ Four spoons!

A wonderful Christmas story that charmed me from beginning to end. Great Read!

How refreshing to find the description of a privileged woman's childhood to be flawed rather than perfect. Claire's ability to seek a different kind of life--a warmer, more authentic kind of Christmas--leads her to find fulfillment.

Claire Lindell is coming off a very bad romantic experience, all she wants is a quiet Christmas alone, so she flees New York and goes all the way to a small town in Yorkshire, England. Her arrival is less than stellar, on day one a sudden snow storm causes her to crash her car into an embankment.

Noah Bradford is out looking for a lost sheep stuck in the mud when Claire comes to help, Prada boots be damned.

These two strike up a quick friendship that eventually turns into a second chance at life and love. The story is sweet and full of Christmas miracles; after all what is more miraculous than putting together Christmas at the last minute. There are a few ups and downs, especially with a father trying to bond with his daughter and trying to get a new outlook on life. Overall, you'll enjoy this nice holiday read.

This sweet Christmas romance is the story of Claire and Noah, set in the wilds of Yorkshire where Noah has his farm and Claire has come from the US to have a peaceful Christmas. I really enjoyed the snowy rural setting and the peaceful feeling of the story. Claire and Noah were interesting characters, both somewhat shy and reserved yet finding that spending time together makes things better for both of them in the few days leading up to Christmas. It was a delightful story all around. 4 stars!

Such a cute little story. Claire is running away from a mistake she made and ends up staying in her godmothers cottage in Yorkshire. She meets Noah and helps him with his daughter who is visiting for the first time. They both seem to enjoy her company and slowly we get to watch a bond form. We finally find out what she'd run away from and Noah was so sweet. I love the connection they form and how sweet the story was. Overall rating this one in at four hearts.

What I liked about this novel....

This was a very good holiday romance about three people to form into a family during this Christmas holiday. Although Claire Lindell (city girl) was well off , but sad after something had happened and with no happy memories when it came to the Christmas holidays she decides to spend this holiday in England at her Godmother's cottage all by herself. However, after Claire's car breaks down and she meets Noah Bradford who was a sheep farmer who had a daughter named Molly. Will things change for them? This is were this story will take off and this author presents to the reader a awesome emotional well written story where there will be Christmas magic that these three (Claire, Noah and Molly) will end up spending the Christmas holiday together. How did this come about? Will this last after this wonderful holiday? This is where I say you will have to pick up "A Yorkshire Christmas" to see how this author brings it all out to the reader. I will say it was captivating seeing Claire and Noah open up to each other. Wow!

I liked the presentation of the characters who were so well developed, real and believable. This is definitely one of those quick reads that has lots of love and imagination that will put a smile on your face in this wonderful Christmas love.

3 - A real home. A real family. A real Christmas. Stars.

A Yorkshire Christmas reminded me a little bit of the film The Holiday except Cameron Diaz doesn’t travel to the UK from the US, Claire Lindell does, and she doesn’t bump into Jude Law, but instead sexy and solitary farmer Noah Bradford.

Add into the mix that he is a single father, who has just had his young daughter unceremoniously dropped on his doorstep for Christmas, and you have a Christmas novella match made in heaven!

”She’d come to England to relax and recover, not fall for a man.

Best laid plans that thankfully go awry! After skidding into a ditch on a back country lane in the darkest depths of Yorkshire during a snowstorm, Claire finds herself rescued by the slightly ornery, but totally sexy Noah, staying in the cottage that backs onto his farm means that the temporary neighbors end up seeing more of each other than they originally planned. Noah’s daughter Molly is a welcome addition to the story, and gives it a heartwarming and familial feel.

”I want more from my life than memories.”

The Christmas Around the World series, offers the ideal solution to a reader that is busy at this time of year but still wants to get a little reading in, or if you just want to curl up for a few hours and lose yourself in a seasonal romance, you can have your Christmas fix, but in quick, sweet, easy portions. This series is the perfect accompaniment to your glass of mulled wine!

A great novella for the festive season with only three real characters in it, this story is a delightful story of two people trying to hide from their past and personal feelings of guilt brought together by fate - and his daughter!

Brought up by her wealthy parents, where appearance is everything and love comes a second or third behind this, Claire Lindell is smarting from almost making a huge mistake in her life because of her desire to be loved. She decides to run away to escape the false family Christmas and so goes to stay at her godmother’s cottage in a little Yorkshire village expecting to be all alone for the festive season. En route to the cottage, her car skids into a snowbank a couple of miles from the village. Walking there seems to be the only option and it is on her way that she meets Noah Bradford and a ewe he needs help to rescue.

The accident means to two see much more of each other than either had planned and when Noah’s daughter, Molly, arrives the interactions continue and a more family-like Christmas develops for the three of them. A sweet, delightful book to escape into with great characters and the beautiful but cold and snow-covered, Yorkshire countryside.

Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Sometimes having been hurt takes you places you never think just to heal, as this was the place in both Clarie's and Noah's lives. I love the chemistry between these two, it was not strong and oh my but it was just perfect. I love how Molly even young and hurt still had such a sweet spirit about her that you really felt for her and wanted so much for her. I loved how in this book that once again it shows the true meaning of Christmas and the importance and how simple life can be even if its on a sheep farm in the middle of the country. This story you really can't go wrong with for a simple christmas read.

Firstly thanks to Tule Publishing for approving me for a copy of this title via NetGalley. This is the 4th novella in the Christmas Around The World series that I’ve read although it is the 2nd in the series. You can check out the reviews of the other novellas by clicking the link below.
Christmas In Venice Christmas At Waratah Bay Christmas With The Laird This story is about New Yorker Claire and Yorkshire farmer Noah and how the two come to spend the festive period together.
I really enjoyed this story, I think it’s probably my favourite from the series and that has a lot to do with the style of Kate Hewitt’s writing. I was also really pleased to see the reference to the Bramble Cottage blog which is something that has had a little cameo in each story linking them all together.
Claire and Noah meet when Claire’s rental car ends up in a snowy ditch meaning she’s stranded and the prospect of her peaceful Christmas for one is suddenly shattered.
The novella can easily be read in an hour and although it’s a short story that takes place over just a few days the progression of the story felt natural with the connection between the characters being obvious from the beginning and growing throughout the story.
There is a sub plot running throughout with Noah’s daughter and this really added to the overall family Christmas feel. I really loved the epilogue and how it tied the story together reinforcing the realism of the situation with a realistic timeline. I can definitely recommend this series, especially this story!

One may want with all one’s heart to create the life they desire. Claire tried to create the family she so desperately wants and almost lost all her moral fiber. But Christmas is a time of hope and renewal. With a ticket to Britain and her mind set on solitude, Claire arrives in the bucolic countryside just in time for a winter snowstorm. A spin out at the top of the lane to her godmother’s house leads to a chance encounter with a distressed shepherd trying to retrieve one of his flock. Noah has big problems, not the least of which is a half frozen sheep stuck at the bottom of a ravine. His daughter has been unceremoniously dumped on his doorstep for the holiday. Loved but little seen, Noah and Molly have the strange, strained relationship of a weekend father and daughter. Divorced from and betrayed by Molly’s mom, Noah has steered clear of the woman, and regretfully of his daughter. Forced into a Christmas none of them wanted, Claire, the accidental interloper, just might be the best Christmas present Molly and Noah have ever gotten.

This is one of those books I would read in July to remember the wonder and magic of Christmas when it seems the farthest away. This one is a keeper. There is nothing like seeming the spirit of the holiday through a child’s eyes. Molly is the reflection of the things that matter and a reminder of the hope that Christmas represents. Loved this heart warmer of a romance.

*I received an e-ARC of A Yorkshire Christmas from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*

Read on for my thoughts on A Yorkshire Christmas. No true spoilers, promise.

Christmas is usually one of the hardest holidays to spend alone. But Claire wants to be alone. She almost made a huge, life-altering mistake and all she wants for Christmas is to hide.

Thankfully we don’t always get what we think we want.

Running from the past might have worked better for Claire if she hadn’t run into snow. She had made it across the Atlantic without a hitch. Now so close to her godmother’s vacation cottage, she’s stuck in a snowbank. It could have been worse, but it was still a few miles to walk in the snow before she could rest. She never imagined that just down the road waited her own personal Christmas wish.

Sheep are basically stupid. It’s true. Never as fluffy, and cute as in children’s books. No these creatures were just dumb, smelly, dirty and stubborn. Which is why Noah is trying to get a stuck, stubborn sheep moving when Claire first sees him. Near the edge of an icy creek a sheep was stuck, and even though she was not dressed for a water rescue, had no idea if the man who moments ago was cursing at the stupid sheep was even sane –Claire hears herself offer to help.

Romance has begun with much less. And this couple is about to find out that when we most want to be left alone – is right when luck can take a huge turn in our direction.

A novella leaves very little time to allow the reader to really care about the people. By it’s nature this type of story is short, sweet, intense and done… usually. I cared about Claire, Noah and his daughter Molly a lot. Their story is as much a family love story as it is Claire and Noah’s. Three people that have been wounded by circumstances have a chance to find their way to each other. All they have to do is trust just a little bit, trust that happy is meant for them. Although I am not a fan of “insta-love”, I will always buy attraction with sparks. These two adults had that in spades, bring in an eight year old who has no idea how much she is loved and you have a love story to last a lifetime.

This was a perfect Christmas read. One that I would gladly return to again – just for the “feel so good” that this one brings with it.

This is the kind of holiday novella I love.

After having her heart broken, Claire is trying to escape and spend Christmas alone in her godmother's cottage in Yorkshire. She doesn't want to deal with all the perfect families and her own failures. All she wants is to be alone. But that first night, her car gets stuck in the snow and she meets Noah, who lives on the farm next door. Unexpectedly, while accompanying Claire to the store to stock up on supplies for her stay, Noah gets a phone call informing him he's going to be keeping his daughter for the holidays - his eight year old daughter who has never even visited his house. His relationship with his daughter's mother is complicated, and his relationship with his daughter tends to consist of meeting up on Saturdays. But never long visits.

He's clearly panicking and Claire offers to help, since he did help her when she was stranded. This ends up being a wonderful Christmas for all involved. Two lonely people discover what they've been missing in their lives. A family, a home, love.

Very sweet, very romantic. I liked this a lot. It's a quick read, just a little over a hundred pages. Perfect story to accompany the holidays.

I received a copy of this via NetGalley.
