Kane Wynde, a young college sophomore, tries his best to meet the expectations of his friends and family in school. Unfortunately, he struggles to focus on his academics long enough to make any real progress, often feeling like he's drowning in a sea of textbooks and deadlines. Kane silently wishes that there was a way to stay focused and not get flustered when the ideation of failure looms over his head.

This is when he stumbles upon a pen with the soul of a dragon within it. The dragon, Mysherra, was once a sword, able to cleave anything. Now, confined to a pen, Mysherra’s power is channeled through Kane, capable of performing incredible feats, only limited by Kane’s own imagination.

Though her powers are great, Kane works to keep Mysherra secret from the rest of the world while learning her powers. However, there are people that already know she’s been reawakened, and soon, Kane must deal with the consequences of lifting what sacred texts described as an ancient evil.
