We follow along as a young girl, who has an amazing bond with her grandfather, watches as he moves from the stage of life where he takes care of her, to the inverse after a stroke. She learns that now it's her turn, after an incident she doesn't quite understand, to be there for her grandpa. Not only is this a great way to talk about medical issues with grandparents and older people, it reminds us that we start our life being taken care of, and end our life the same way. Together we can do so much more and grow!

Thank you for the ARC of this beautiful story. What a great lesson. Loved the bond the child and grandpa have and how she helped her grandpa get better.

Grandpa, My Hero is a wonderfully written and illustrated story that celebrates the unbreakable bond between Mia and her grandpa. Watching Mia step into her role as Grandpa’s “assistant” after his stroke was heartwarming and inspiring. This book captures the magic of intergenerational love while teaching kids about resilience, patience, and kindness. I enjoyed how it showed that being a hero isn’t about being perfect but about showing up and caring for the people you love. It’s a touching and memorable read.

Oh my gosh, this book hit me right in the feels! Grandpa, My Hero is all about Mia and her grandpa’s superhero-level bond—and let me tell you, it’s sweet, funny, and totally inspiring. Mia doesn’t just sit around when Grandpa needs help; she jumps in with games, balloons, and all the love in the world. This story is proof that heroes don’t need capes—they just need big hearts. Seriously, grab this book for your kids (and yourself) and get ready for all the warm fuzzies. 🦸♂️❤️🎈
