Badge of The Abandoned is a gripping story about identity, survival, and the weight of history. Ron Soy’s journey as a Cambodian American in South Philly, caught between family loyalty and a world increasingly hostile to people who look like him, is both heartbreaking and powerful. The book makes you feel the tension, the uncertainty, and the struggle to find one’s place in a society that judges before it understands. I loved how real and raw this felt, making me root for Ron while questioning my own perspectives along the way.

This book had me by the throat from page one! Badge of The Abandoned is a gut punch of reality wrapped in suspense and emotion. Ron Soy’s world is messy, unfair, and sometimes downright terrifying, but man, do you feel for this kid. The way it explores identity, prejudice, and survival in a world that wants to put people into neat little boxes? Unmatched. If you want a book that’ll make you think and feel, grab this one. And don’t say I didn’t warn you—you won’t put it down. 🔥📖
