Description
A lone teen, a suspicious death, an ancient conspiracy. The first book of the gripping Delphi Trilogy draws you in, takes you on a tense and thrilling ride, and leaves you wanting more.
Ten years after his father's mysterious death, 17-year-old Zach secretly returns to his wealthy hometown in search of answers. Why did his mother move him away then go into hiding to die alone? Why did she change his name, forbidding him to ever reveal his true identity? Why was he never allowed to return home?
Left with nothing and no one, Zach is desperate to reconnect with this seemingly "perfect" town. But something isn't right. When a local teen commits suicide and no one seems to care, Zach's hopes collapse into disenchantment and suspicion. Ashley, a local teenager on the fringe, piques his interest with whispers of a secret committee controlling the lives of everyone around them. Together, Zach and Ashley delve into the hidden life of the town and discover a dark connection to Ancient Greece and the Oracle at Delphi. Their suspicions are confirmed, but the conspiracy is more terrifying and dangerous than they ever imagined...

Chris Everheart has written a smashing adventure/mystery/thriller that I had to read in one sitting, all three books. As such, I couldn't possibly review them individually, but each book stayed interesting, kept to the storyline, and didn't miss a beat of Everheart's wicked music, so I give them all five stars. The story follows Zach White, a mysterious teenager who leaves France after graduation to return to his even more mysterious hometown. Seems his mother left him with a curiosity he just had to satisfy. He returns to the town looking for answers, about his father's death ten years before, the paranoid insanity exhibited by his mother until her recent death, and why he can't use his real name anymore.
He finds a mystery girl who knows more than she can say, a mystery friend who may not really be a friend, a mystery enemy who may be a friend, and a town shoulder-deep in the biggest conspiracy of the planet. Finding his answers and putting a stop to the League of Delphi are at the top of Zach's list, but he can't help a little romance hitting him between the eyes in this excellent trilogy.
Chris Everheart writes compelling YA characters embedded in mystery and secret society. His teen characters are realistic-- except when they shouldn't be, in a world of secrecy and power.
Zach knows a few things for sure. He grew up in Arcanville, until the second grade. His mom took him from there, changed his name, they hid out. His old name was never to be spoken. He was sent to boarding school. Now, his mom has died and he is on his own. He doesn't know much for sure, but whatever made his mom flee from Arcanville, he wants to know. He has to know. Was his mom paranoid as in paranoid schizophrenic, with a mental illness behind her fear, or was her fear the result of knowing the secrets of Arcanville?

Thank you for letting me review this book... I will recommend it to all of my friends... I think it was well written and it definitely had me on the edge of my seat... Can't wait to read the next book!
I could so see this as series of movies. Good plot. well-developed characters.
A very enjoyable read. I really liked the concept and the usage of the old Greek mythology of Delphi and how other historical characters have been used; and how they were layered throughout the story. Good pacing and interesting characters, though I think the romance was a bit quick.
Zach has returned home after 10 years seeking the truth about his mother’s death. Why did she make him change his name and tell him to never reveal what his real name was? The town he was born in seems to be the perfect place to live. But something about it seems unnatural and after meeting local teenager Ashley he realizes his mother’s fears were justified. Ashley says a local committee controls all their lives and he soon discovers a strange and I’m natural connection to ancient Greece and the Oracle in Delphi.
A thrilling knew YA series. Libraries would be wise to order multiple copies

The League of the Delphi by Chris Everheart is a thrilling mystery that keeps you guessing right to the end. Follow Zachary White as he delves into family secrets that lead him into the distant past to uncover a dangerous present. Chris Everhart's writing balances the thrill of the chase with the mystery of an intricate puzzle. The characters are wonderfully developed and the town comes alive on the page. Rich with a variety of culture, Everheart brings a wider world to small American town. Excellent read for young adults. This book has it all, action, romance, history and mystery.
