ALASKA
In America's last wilderness there are no limits to what a man can do.
For detective Nick Brodie, that means keeping the perps off the streets of Anchorage 24/7. Nick has never backed down from danger, but after the horrors he's seen, he's definitely in need of a break.
Samantha Hollis never thought she'd meet anyone like Nick, especially in a place like Las Vegas. But after one reckless, passionate night, she discovers the charismatic stranger is everything she wants in a man. But can he ever be anything more than a one-night stand?
When Nick invites her to Alaska, Samantha decides to find out, never guessing the depths she'll discover in him or the tangle of murder, kidnapping, and danger about to engulf them both. . .

This is the second book in the Brodies from Alaska series. I have read all of Kat Martin's contemporary "Against" book, and I always look forward to the next one. This is Nick Brodie's story. He meets Samantha Hollis and they hit it off immediately. Unfortunately, Samantha is a city girl who can't seem to adjust to Alaska, and Nick is a through and through Alaskan guy. When Nick invites Samantha to visit Alaska, her visit seems to coincide with Nick's promise to help a neighbor’s nephew help find the murderer of his father. This book involves danger and edgy suspense along with love and passion. However, the real suspense for me was how the couple were going to solve the problem that they didn’t like each other’s hobbies and hated each other’s hometown.
