This is a gorgeous, inspiring art book. I have only just begun taking printmaking classes within the past year, and this collection of contemporary artists offers so much inspiration. Each section offers a new artist with an artist's statement followed by high quality images of their artwork. I love this book and keep going back to look through it again. It makes me want to create art! Although I do not teach printmaking, I will be recommending this book to my printmaking teacher, as she often shares books with the class. This particular book offers a great variety and overview of different artists that would be perfect for this class.

I have minimal experience with print making (Japanese wood block style prints) so I was interested to see what types are common in the US. This book shows a broad range of artists and print studios that use a variety of styles and techniques. The pictures of the artists' work are beautiful and I would love to hang some of them on my wall. The styles range from abstract designs, realistic looking pictures, graphic designs, comics, magazine covers, and so on. I don't think my print making will ever come close to anything here, but it does make me want to find a studio and give it another go.
