Long-separated identical twins Ellie and Kat are practically strangers when they accidentally launch themselves into the past with their mother’s unfinished time machine.

Not that 1970 is so bad. Their groovy young hippie grandma is there, they make a new friend who might be a future genius, and they can get Snickers for only 10 cents! But home is home.

Seeking help at a university physics department, the twins expose their time machine to the greedy gaze of Professor Wilkes Lavin. When he swipes the machine for his villainous schemes, Ellie and Kat resolve to think like scientists and do whatever it takes to survive the past and get home.

Through tricky situations, narrow escapes, and sometimes even just for fun, the sisters make the most of their identical twinness. Ellie’s acrobatics and aikido come in handy; Kat calls on her tech know-how; and a few surprising hidden talents come to light when the two are in a pinch.

If they aren't careful, they just might become time-travelers AND friends.
