Description
Mirabella Owens grew up with legends of wolves that traveled to her midwestern town to protect humans from vampires. Of a werewolf that fell in love with one of the undead, unraveling a blood-soaked history. But Mira stopped believing in those fairy tales years ago. She stopped believing in a lot of things after her mom left without a trace when she was only thirteen.
As Mira begins her freshman year at Lakeland University, she’s ready to leave the past behind her. Only the past isn’t finished with her yet. Strange animal attacks are occurring around campus, reopening cold cases tied to her mother’s disappearance. And the only person who seems to know anything is Julian Santos, the boy who is hell-bent on getting Mira to leave campus for reasons she can’t begin to understand. But Mira refuses to let him keep his secrets, not when the truth is the difference between life and death.
Mira will have to accept that there is much more to the old town myths, and her growing feelings for Julian, than she ever could have anticipated. And as the Blood Moon rises, she will come to know a world that will shatter her past and change her future.

LOVED! I absolutely DEVOURED this book! The story captures your attention from the first chapter and I could not put it down. Although I’ve never read or watched Twilight (I know, I know), I absolutely adored this story with werewolves, vampires, and witches. The FMC and her friends were extremely relatable, and makes you want to root for their happiness and success. I am so excited to see where the author goes next in the story!

This book felt like watching a CW show (in the Vampire Diaries era), and I do mean that as the highest of compliments (JUSTICE FOR BONNIE). Both nostalgic and fresh, it was a winner for me!

Blood Moon by Britney S. Lewis is the perfect blend of mystery, magic, and romance that had me hooked from the very first page. As someone who was obsessed with Twilight as a child, this book made my little heart so happy. The story drew me in right away with its intriguing mix of werewolves, vampires, and witches, and I just couldn’t put it down.
I have to admit, I saw on threads that Katee Robert was seeking approval for this one, and naturally, I had to apply because I will NEVER deny myself a Katee Robert rec. She has never steered me wrong, and Blood Moon is no exception.
Mira is a fantastic FMC and her connection with Julian Santos, who knows more than he’s letting on, kept me on the edge of my seat, especially with all the secrets he’s hiding. The tension between them builds beautifully as Mira delves deeper into the dangerous world of old legends and supernatural creatures.
I really appreciated the diversity of characters in this story, which added a wonderful depth and relatability to the narrative. It’s always so refreshing to see representation in books, and it made the characters feel even more real and engaging.
I’m so excited to see where this story goes next—if you’re into thrilling supernatural reads with a touch of romance and mystery, you definitely don’t want to miss this one!

For anyone who has ever been a Bonnie Bennet fan and thought she deserved better, this one is for us! This fast-paced, spooky, and diverse novel will truly be a game changer in the YA fantasy industry. Not only the main female character a Black girl, but BOTH her love interests were men of color! Mira truly is THAT GIRL.
I don’t want to spoil this book, but let’s just say everyone will devour it and, just like me, we will all be crossing our fingers for it to be adapted for TV. Goodness knows it will be a smash.
5 out of 5 stars!
Thank you Page Street YA and Netgalley for an ARC!

This book pulled me in from the very first page and never let go. It’s a moody, addictive paranormal romance set in a small town with secrets lurking around every corner. Think New Moon vibes, but with sharper teeth and a heroine who refuses to be sidelined.
Mira Owens finds herself navigating the eerie town of Timber Plains, Kansas, where the myths about vampires and werewolves are more than just creepy stories. When she’s saved from a literal fall by the golden-eyed and mysterious Julian, things take a thrilling turn. The romance is a slow burn filled with tension, destiny, and just the right amount of angst.
Mira’s voice is sharp, witty, and full of personality. Her inner monologue had me laughing and nodding along more than once. The plot does hit a few uneven spots, especially when it comes to the supernatural conflict, which could’ve used a little more development. But the love story? Top tier.
Britney S. Lewis gifts us a powerful, layered Black heroine who leads the story with heart and fire. Mira isn’t just surviving—she’s claiming space in a genre that rarely centers girls like her. And that alone makes this book worth the read.

First off, thank you so much to the team for allowing me to be an ARC reader! I ate this book ALLLL the way up!! At first I felt this was a solid set up for the world building and lore. I loved how we slowly found out key bits of information along with our main character Mira, even though I felt her frustration on the speed with which the truth was revealed.
However, as the book progressed, the story really came together and the twists and turns revealed were WILD. I thought I knew what was being set up, and I loved how wrong I was. I can’t wait to get the physical copy of this book, and I REALLY can’t wait until the sequel. I already KNOW it’s gonna be a wild ride.
I loved how complex the characters were, and that even the side characters had depth to them. I also really like how the author was able to balance good banter with both light hearted and tense moments. I would definitely recommend this book, and if you’re wanting to become an arc reader, follow your fave authors and sign up for their newsletters and things. I don’t have a huge following and I’m not getting paid for this, but it’s a different type of joy and excitement when you’re given the chance to be an arc reader, and even more when you just know the book will be good based on the promo, and it ends up being just as good as you’d hoped.
