A perfect end-of-year gift for kindergarteners, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders to give to their own teacher and show their appreciation!
What do teachers do for summer vacation?
Mrs. Hartwell's students worry that their teacher will miss them while they are gone for the summer. The class comes up with a way to make sure Mrs. Hartwell won't be too sad. But Mrs. Hartwell and the other teachers have some plans of their own.
Once again Julie Danneberg and Judy Love bring to life the crazy antics of Mrs. Hartwell and her class.

Great illustrations and fun message. With a smiley wink, this would make a great gift for your young child's teacher and class.
On the last week before the last day of class, Mrs. Hartwell class realized that she would really miss them during the summer. So they proceed to find the perfect gift to give her so that she could keep them in mind.
A really cute story about the end of school. The pictures are bright and the expressions on both the kids and teachers are perfect.
I love the story! Hope my students miss me to during their vacation :)
Read this book to my kindergartener - who's just dealing with this phenomenon for the first time. We both thought that it was really cute! As someone who's also seen the teacher's side of the equation for years (my sister is an elementary school teacher), it was also hilariously true. The end of the year tends to be bittersweet for both the students and the teachers - but the teacher's "get over it" a whole lot faster and are more human than most students give them credit for!
This book is very cute. I think it would be fun for elementary teachers to have it in their classrooms.
I think this will be a fun thing to read with my kids during the last week of school!
I have read this many times in my classroom. It is a fun go to read!
I think the teacher is definitely realistic, but I've never found that the kids are the least bit nostalgic about the last day of school. The kids will definitely like the book and, naturally, it will be a good book for the last library day of the year. I'm hoping to get the first day book as well. On my t0-buy list.
