Three very unusual characters intersect in this story of monsters and immortality. Leah is a 24-year-old runaway, riding through Europe on her motorcycle, changing her name at every new border. Izsak has witnessed true horror in Budapest in the 19th century, but has somehow lived to the present day. Perhaps he has lived so long because he has a mission, to find the daughter stolen from a mountain cabin and to hunt down and destroy a monster. The monster? Well, she doesn’t look like one. She looks like a beautiful young woman. A young woman who is traveling through the American west, taking what she needs. And what she needs is food – young, healthy, humans; through them she will attain the strength to travel back to Europe where she can join the rest of her kind. Yes, that’s right, there are more.

An ingenious thriller. Absolutely unique in plot and characters, like nothing else I have ever read

Leah, Izsak, and the Monster. What a trio of suspense! Surprises around every corner, suspense on every page. Here's one that will keep you up reading till the wee hours....with the lights on, for sure.
