Advance Praise
“In her latest, Bush brings us mystery and suspense, seamlessly interweaving various storylines. Jordanna and Dance are complex, sympathetic characters. The incorporation of existing characters from her past novels gives a natural authenticity to her story. Add a terrifying villain with a passionate cause, and this story is one thrilling read.” - RT Book Reviews, 4 Stars

When reporter Dance Danziger is injured in a bomb blast, fellow journalist Jordanna Winters thinks they have an award-winning story on their hands; but first they have to find the bomber. Their search takes them down a dark road littered with bodies, each one branded with a branding iron. The key to the killer’s i.d. and motivation actually lies buried in Jordanna’s past, if she only has the courage to remember
You Can’t Escape – Nancy Bush
A bomb nearly takes the life of reporter Jay Danziger. Fellow reporter Jordanna Winters sees this as an opportunity (as one does) to enhance her own career and solve a crime (as one does). But as things go on, Winters and Danziger find unsolved murders, with the only clue a mark on each body.
Then the intrepid duo uncovers a link to Jordanna’s own life and past.
Writer Nancy Bush’s own life and past is quite interesting. She’s written romance and for a soap opera, before hitting the suspense genre with a vengeance.
Romance and soap operas’ loss is our gain, I think.
In You Can’t Escape Nancy has created flawed, but likable characters. The story grows and jumps off the page. You can’t escape from Nancy Bush, and why would you want to?
Secrets in a small community, a serial killer with multiple personality disorder, a bombing and also a romance are part of this fourth book in Ms. Bush’s Nowhere series. The characters were well developed with complete backstories. The main characters, Dance and Jordanna, are both reporters that come together rather unexpectedly after a bombing – theirs is the love story. What they do for a living causes them to end up investigating more than one story that leads to danger.
I enjoyed the book, look forward to reading more books by this author and thank Net Galley for the copy of this book I was sent to read and review.
Oh so many secrets in such a small little town, secrets that have been kept for years. This book was definitely a page turner, as I knew it would be. I read a Nancy Bush book years ago, loved it, and just never got back to another one. I'm so glad Kensington and Net Galley approved my request to read this!
There were so many subplots going on in this book, with so many lies, so many memories (true and false) and so, so many secrets. This book was very well written and I just raced through it in one Sunday afternoon. It was another one that I just could not put down. Chores? What chores? I definitely recommend this book if your into mysteries with skeletons in the closet!
Thanks Kensington and Net Galley for allowing me to read and review this very thrilling book!
another great read by Nancy Bush. I always recommend her books to my mystery readers and always have pre orders for her titles
I received this book from netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Secrets, small town, and killers....what more could a girl want in a book?? Not much more for this girl!! This was so good, my first book by Nancy Bush...(where have I been?) but definitely wont be my last!! Can't wait to get my hands on more by this author!
You Can't Escape was an interesting read with several stories going at once. There are subplots and many characters requiring organization of thought as the story progresses. Readers will find they need to keep people and their conversations straight while wondering who are the good and who are the bad. Though transitions sometimes between story lines were a bit confusing, Bush brings it all to a very satisfactory conclusion. With the inclusion of the Rafferty twins in the novel, I'm oh so ready for the next story with Nine and/or Auggie as the main lead to another great mystery.
