Description
Every family has its secrets. The Fairchilds have more than their share.
Over the course of three riveting books, with narratives that range from the high society of Manhattan to the quasi-aristocracy of New Mexico, all their secrets are laid bare.
Each book tells its own complete story, filled with mystery, intrigue and startling revelations that plunge readers deeper and deeper into a web of unintended deception.
The journey begins with Summers in Bayville, in which the seeds of future secrets are sown.
Sutton Place reveals more of the consequences of seemingly innocent acts that go terribly—and terrifyingly—awry.
In 40 Miles North, new mysteries appear and resolve, and the missing pieces of old puzzles are finally put into place.
The saga of the Fairchild family is frequently revealed through the prism of smart, thirty-something Julia Fairchild. It is a beautifully crafted tapestry of intricately entwined events that start in the innocent era of the 1950’s and lead into the more complex social environment of the present day. It is fascinating, exciting, mystifying, and ultimately an exhilarating exploration of wonderfully strong women, society’s double standards, good intentions gone bad and a family’s final freedom from the consequences of mistakes made long ago.

In the first book of a trilogy about the Simmons/Fairchild family, readers meet Lucia Simmons on her wedding day. Lucia will not be the typical 1950’s homemaker, she has big plans. Her job in the publishing industry becomes a career and she becomes incredible successful; no small feat for a woman during those times. Her success, however, sounds the death knell for her already struggling marriage. Lucia’s brother is a little stodgy, but he has always been there for her in her time of need, just as she’s always been there for him. Now, Lucia returns to her family for comfort and understanding.
