Description
** 18+ Some language and sexual situations.
As a photographer for the New York Post, Kari Martin was used to seeing heartache and scandal up close. But one night at the club… her whole world changed.
Heartbroken and willing to call off her wedding, she decides a change is in order and moves from NYC to a small town in Maine, where the average age of the residents there is sixty (or thereabouts). She works to fit in perfectly, and tries like hell not to let anyone find out just how very jaded she’s recently become over the lie called love.
Jake Isaac left Texas quite a few years ago; his heart torn from his chest, and his mind set on being a bachelor forever. Maine would welcome him, give him land to explore and a community to belong to. Getting a job as the coach of the local junior high and serving on the fire department kept him busy — and labeled him a hometown hero — but the truth of his damaged heart was forever hidden.
No one would ever know just how jaded he was about love. That is… until he meets Kari.
Advance Praise
"What a great second chance at love story. This story is about Kari and Jade. Both have been heartbroken is the past. Will the past keep them both from finding true love? I recommend this one."
"Kari is all that Jake could ever want. He is crazy attracted to her. His past keeps getting in the way and he is not sure what to do. Can he take a chance? Dare he? He is starting to feel something for her. The sparks fly and the air sizzles when they are in the same room. This is a story of love, fate and dealing with the hurt of the past. I liked the character development. I felt the story was an honest progression for these two and I loved it!"
"I love this series and can't wait for Marc and Lisa' s story in June. Because that means I'll hear more hopefully on Kari and what is happening her life seeing Marc is her brother and Lisa her bff. I recommend for Everyone ..."

(Thank you to Ali Parker, Good Tales Book Tour, and NetGalley for the chance to read an ARC of Jaded for an honest review).
Jaded by Ali Parker is the second book by this author that I have read and I am happy to say I liked this serial just as much as the first one. This serial is about Kari Martin (are Rebecca from Baited and Kari related? They both had the same last name) and Jake Isaac, both burned by love and hesitant to jump back into another relationship.
I enjoyed this serial and enjoyed watching the characters constantly bump into each other as they slowly began to open themselves up to each other and love.
This was a sweet read, wish it were longer so I could have spent more time with these characters and learning more about them. Overall, Jaded is a great book and I definitely recommend.

Jaded was about two people who had been cheated on by the person they loved. They both are tryring to heal frorm those wounds when they meet. Both do not want to be hurt again and so balk at first at the idea of being together, even though there is a strong connection between the two. They decide to give it a chance and soon fall in love with one another. They find their HEA. I liked this story. I think it was a sweet read. I look forward to reading the others in this series.
I received an ARC of this book from the publisher and NetGalley.
This full series, Jaded, by Ali Parker, is definitely one for the girls. Who hasn't been cheated on, if not catching the other one in the act, just to find our true love. Which is exactly what Kari does. I was definitely all smiles and finally an author that also has the male character, Jake, going through the same trust issues and not to mention a hot fire fighter! They give love a chance and it seems well worth it.
ARC provided by the publishing company, via Netgalley, in exchange for a honest review.
This was my introduction to this author's work, and I must admit, it left a good first impression. She grabbed my attention with the first chapter and held onto it well into Part 3 of the serial. I liked her writing style, it was easy to follow and also easy to just fall into and enjoy!
For being three novellas, I was impressed with how well the characters were developed and described. The story had a nice flow about it, and I didn't get the feeling of being rushed through the story due to it being a shorter story, like I have with other novellas I have read in the past.
Overall I would say this was a great literary find for me, it had everything a good romance story should have and then some! I definitely plan to read more of her books in the near future!

Review
Kari was betrayed by her fiancee one day before their wedding. Now broken hearted she agrees to move from New York to Maine with her two friends. While grocery shopping Kari meets the man of her dreams. Fate pulls them together.
This book is separated into three parts but this a a complete box set which I love in books. John and Kari have a beautiful love story very heart warming.
I would definitely recommend this book.
This was a great story. I know it was in 3 parts I am glad they were all in one book otherwise i would have hated waiting for the next. I love the authors writing. Her words flow beautifully and make you want to keep reading. I will be recommending this book to all my friends.
I really liked and enjoyed this book. The story line was very intriguing and kept me hooked through all the stories. I enjoyed this characters and there relationship, I liked there interactions with each other and just felt every thing they felt. I really loved the authors writing style and the fact that she was able to keep me intrigued through all the stories with these characters. I don't normally like books with multiple books about the same characters to me I feel like its a waste of my time and no reason for that to be that many books with the same characters but the author did this justice and I loved having to continue the characters story it made me enjoy there story more.
Two damaged souls which seem to heal by coming together. It was a journey and I happily took it.
Yum. Love the cover guy. See him on lots, but he never gets old. OK, now for the story. I really liked this one, and it held my attention from the very beginning. What a creep she had for a fiance, but at least she found out before the wedding. Good story, and good romance once she got out of NYC and headed north to Maine. A sweet romance, and good friends and family. What more could you ask for. Would highly recommend this book. I also like that all parts are here. I just finished Baited, also by Ali Parker, and liked that one too. Slighly similar but two very different stories. It is nice to read an author that changes between books instead of following a specific pattern or formula. Will definitely look for more by this author.
