When former attorney Jan de Fries heads out fishing in the North Sea, he expects to return home with nothing but a fresh catch. Dirk Trost was born in 1957 in Duisburg, Germany. From the time he was a young boy, he spent many a summer on the North Sea coast reading adventure stories and fantasizing about writing his own.
