Description

After quitting her first “real” job, Janine Pike takes off for Europe, saving an excursion to the famed Isola del Sole for last. But when her travel-mates sail off with her backpack, phone, and passport after a night of partying, she’s left only with the euros in her pocket and the faint hope that her estranged half-sister, who works at the renowned Hotel Dei Fiori Isola del Sole, might help her.

Shel Myerson, amateur racecar driver and wildly successful TV mogul, oozes wealth and prestige. What he doesn’t have much of is privacy, thanks to a recent and ugly public breakup. What he doesn’t expect is to be mistaken as an employee by a very pretty—and very broke—Janine, the one person in Europe who also doesn’t have any idea who he is.

Shel and Janine discover their chemistry is combustible—but will their budding relationship survive the heat once the press catches on?

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley from Tule Publishing for an honest review. This is the 2nd book in a series written by multiple authors. This could easily be read as a standalone, but the heroine in this one (Janine) is the long lost half-sister to book one's heroine (Steffi) and the heroes are friends (Shel and Rocco). Book 1 is The Billionaire's Temptation (Amalfi Night Billionaires Book 1) by Katherine Garbera.

I really enjoyed this story. It was a quick and light read that only took a few hours. The chemistry and relationship between Janine and Shel was very comfortable and fun. You almost forget that Shel is holding back a lot of lies that will eventually be revealed and in a very dramatic way. I wasn't sure what to think of Shel from the first book, but I did like him in this one. I especially liked Janine. She was young, fresh, and open to exploring a different (and less sedate) part of herself.

I'm looking forward to the next book by the next author in this world!

I really LOVED this story! Great writing and characters, excellent pace, and an outstanding storyline.

After finding out she has a never known about half sister, Janine quits her job and takes off on a trip traveling around Europe. Her last stop is Isola del Sole where here sister lives and works at the resort. Her good time friends take off leaving her with no money, no clothes, no ID, and a huge bar bill!

Luckily the hotel piano player, Shel Myerson, seems to have some pull with the acting GM and knows her sisters fiance. When he comes to her rescue she is beyond grateful but getting to know the real Shel may turn out to be more than she's ready for!

This is an awesome quick read that I highly recommend!

Janine has found out that she has a half sister, so she decides to quit her job and head to Europe for an extended vacation. Her laast stop is at Isola del Sole, where her sister works at the hotel. After a night on the beach with so called friends, she wakes up to her money being gone, no id and a huge bar bill. The next morning she meets Shel, race car driver and very rich. Shel has gone incognito for some down time. The chemistry and passion between these two are hot, until there is a press release regarding Shel. Can their passion for each other survive Shel's deception.

A well written book with very interesting characters. A page turner that you will not be able to put down. This is book 2 in the Amalfi Billionaires series, but can be read as a stand alone. I received this book from Netgalley for an honest review.

This is another great story with a fantastic location, great characters and a riveting plot in the Amalfi Night Billionaires series! I really enjoyed the first one, 'The Billionaire's Temptation' by Katherine Garbera , and this one maintained the same high standard and is a thoroughly enjoyable read.

The De Luca family have a growing chain of hotels and one is on the island where they usually live, Isola del Fiori. It is here that the half sister that Janine Pike never previously knew about is living and working. Janine quit her job and was backpacking around Europe, making this location her final destination before returning home again. Unfortunately, after a fantastic party, her travel companions sail off with her backpack, phone, passport and clothes leaving her sleeping on the beach and with the bar bill from the groups partying.

With only €20 she's devastated until the handsome, charming piano player steps in to help her by contacting her half sister. He's actually Sheldon Myerson, friend of the De Luca family, wealthy and highly successful TV mogul but she doesn't recognise him. He's on the island for privacy after another messy break up with his equally famous glamorous model girlfriend. He decides to keep his identity secret from Janine, to see if their highly volatile attraction develops into anything more. Will their love stand a chance? What about when the press find out? What about when she discovers his deception? How will her half sister react? Is there any chance of a HEA for Janine?

I was right, Mimi Wells has written a great addition to this series, maintaining the robust, complex and believable characters from the first book and adding her own plot full of turmoil, indecision and derailing interventions to make the journey to their HEA a highly entertaining roller coaster read. I’ll certainly be looking out for further stories in this series - and by this author - in future.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for this, an honest review.

Billionaire's Deception is second in Tule Publishing's Amalfi Night Billionaire series. It's fairly short but well written, making for a light, sexy and enjoyable weekend read.
Janine has been backpacking round Europe, finishing her travels on Isola del Sole to meet Stephanie, the half sister she has just found out about. She's normally cautious, planning her every move to make sure nothing will go wrong. That is, until she wakes up badly hung over on the beach with no backpack, no money and no friends.
Enter Sheldon, talented, wealthy and just a little bit lonely having recently been dumped by his on again off again girlfriend Pilar. When Shel and Janine meet they both feel that special something, and better yet for Sheldon, Janine has no idea who he is. He decides to keep it that way and enlists the hotel staff to help with the deception. Along the way he and Janine fall in love.
This is a nice compact story continuing on loosely from book one in the series. I liked the characters, liked the setting and the storyline and am looking forward to the third book.

Jainie is on a mission to find out who she really is now that she knows she has a sister out there, so she quits her real first job and heads to Isola del Sole in hopes to find out who she is and maybe have a quick conversation with her sister. She never expected waking up on the beach with nothing but a few euros in her pocket and a large bar bill that she is stuck paying. She also never expected to meet Shel and she never expected he was hiding something. Sheldon is at Hotel Dei Fiori to get over his off again, on again girlfriend he has no idea what life will bring him next he just know he ready for a change and he's ready to take on the next chapter in his life. He is sure Pilar is not coming back and he is trying to figure out whats next in his life. He is doing what he does best at the hotel which is playing piano he just never expected Rocco's girlfriend's sister to hold a lot of the answers to the questions he's been asking will he realize it before its to late.
This book was short sweet and very much a fun read. I love how this series is being taken place in another country and taking the reader to this beautiful island. I love the corkiness of some of the characters and there rule in the book. I love how the book was not so deep that you could just sit back and enjoy the page turner and enjoy the likeness of the characters. I have to say don't let the title fool you while you may be dealing with billionaires they are created to be just fun loving characters and are not out to just shove there money and goods down on the other characters. I would say not just about this book but the first book in the series the books are so worth the read and have a very fun storyline to them.

I loved this! I flew through it read it super quick. Shel & Janine are great together. I really liked that Janine got her stuff back in the end. Losing all your important stuff truly sucks. I also loved that Janine & Stephanie become close. Can't wait for more of this series.

Janine awakens on the beach to discover that she’s hungover, the friends she’s been traveling with have left her stranded with all of her belongings in her travel backpack on the boat with them – and that she’s responsible for a huge bar bill from the night before. Not the way most people wake up on this beautiful island. Embarrassed, disgruntled and scared she follows the irritating man who woke her up back to the Hotel Dei Fiori Isola del Sole. Knowing that her half-sister, Stephanie worked at this hotel, Janine had planned to end her European trip here, just not in this fashion. Her only hope was to use her sister’s name and hope that she will rescue Janine from this embarrassment. Only to discover that her sister is away on business.

Shel had been casually playing the piano in the nearby bar, curiously watching the drama with the lovely American unfold in front of him. When she mentioned Steffi’s name, he called his friend and Steffi fiance to let them know that her sister was at the hotel. Steffi insisted that Janine remain there in her apartment until they could return.

When Janine doesn’t recognize Shel, he sees a chance to help a beautiful woman, spend some time with her hopefully without all the drama that he usually unwittingly encounters. It was perhaps a lie with the best of intentions, but it is a lie that will bite him on the butt when he least expects it.

The Billionaire’s Deception is a charming, lighthearted, fast paced joy of a story. I understood Shel’s deception. Lying always comes back at you, but there are times when that white lie can smooth things over – except when hearts become involved. He never expected Janine to be his “one”, and he’d truly simply wanted to help her out but now he’s going to have to do some fast thinking to salvage this situation.

A well thought out story with touches of the wealthy lifestyle and basic heartfelt emotions. When two people are right for each other, the sight to keep that love alive is worth it. I enjoyed this novel very much and am looking forward to continuing the series.

Looking for a happy ever after love story set in lush surroundings? Then The Billionaire’s Deception is perfect for you. Check it out and get caught up in the luxury and love.

*I received an e-ARC of The Billionaire’s Deception from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*

Janine faces the worst nightmare of anyone traveling, waking up at the beach, with all her belongings gone, including her phone, money, and passport.
Thankfully the hotel close by, is the one where her long lost half sister is working. But she is on a business trip, not to be found.
In walks handsome, charming man, who seems to have a handle with everything, and shows her around the glamorous hotel, finds a place to stay, her sister's things to use, and a job at the bar. So convenient, how smoothly all works out... Like the best dream after the nightmare, when Shel shows her the life of luxury. But of course, nothing is what it seems, and it doesn't take long for the dream to end, and reality to step in. There were several fun things about this light and entertaining fairytale story, that I liked. Shel and Janine truly have this dream like couple days, where they have an adventure of a lifetime, get to know each other, and fall for each other completely. Janine gets to meet her sister, they have a chance to talk about their lives, share about the feelings about the sisterhood, their father, and how they got to be where they are now. I liked how easy, natural it was for them to connect and find the right tone with each other. Also, I loved how the cocktails, played in the story, that Janine was mixing. It gave a nice spice to it, a punch line, if you wish. The temperamental, kind, and delightful staff of the hotel, whom has been entertaining for the both installments of the series so far was a hoot. The story might be light and fast read, but it had some great elements to it, that allure the reader, and take them away into this dreamlike world. A perfect weekend read during the last days of the summer

Janine Pike wants to experience life and to meet the sister that she didn't know existed. Life and fate have some surprises in store for her. When she's abandoned by her friends, she has no money and no passport. A handsome stranger helps her. Why does she feel such an attraction to Shel Myerson? Mimi Wells has written characters that are passionate about life and love. They take risks and, at times, behave rashly. There are consequences that lead to upset and heartbreak. Will true love conquer? Isola del Sole on the Amalfi Coast is the exotic setting for The Billionaire's Deception. It's perfect for romance. I liked Shel. He's a fascinating and private man. I wanted to tell him that his masquerade was going to end in disaster. Janine is a perfect match for him. She's a feisty, stubborn woman. I enjoyed their interaction. The story was well written and very satisfying. Mimi Wells wrote a perfect sweet treat.

I read book one is this series and I was hoping the next would be Shel's story. The books starts with Janine waking on the beach to discover that she’s hungover, the friends she’s been traveling with have left her stranded with all of her belongings in her travel backpack on the boat with them – and that she’s responsible for a huge bar bill from the night before. Not the way you would want to start your stay on a beautiful island. She is highly embarrassed and scared as she follows the irritating man who woke her up back to the Hotel Dei Fiori Isola del Sole. She is hopeful that she can use her sister's name to help her out of this mess. However, she discovers that her sister Stephanie is away on business. Shel had been playing the piano in the nearby bar watching the drama with the lovely American unfold. When she mentioned Steffi’s name, he called his friend and Steffi's fiance to let them know that her sister was at the hotel. Steffi insisted that Janine remain there in her apartment until they could return. Janine doesn’t recognize Shel, so he sees a chance to help a beautiful woman and spend some time with her as just a regular guy. But we all know that eventually our lies can catch up with us...and not in a good way. This book is a charming, fast paced, enjoyable story. I understood Shel's reason for the lie but when he realizes his feelings for Janine are serious and she is the one for him....he tries to think of how he can salvage the situation to help Janine understand his reasoning. He needs her to understand that when two people are right for each other they are just right.....regardless of their backgrounds. I really enjoyed this story and I look forward to more in this series.

The Billionaires Deception was a short and fun read! This book has great chemistry, likable characters and a feel good plot that doesn't skimp on heart or romance. Add to that a lovely HEA and it's perfect for lazing about on the couch on a rainy day!

A fun European vacation turns bad when Janine Pike wakes up on a beach at Isola del Sole where her and her friends had been partying the night before. Her friends had left her there not knowing her possessions where still on the boat. Janine planned to meet her half-sister Stephanie Harlan at Hotel del Fiori Isola del Sole where she works. Now Janine is expected to pay the bar bill from the night before. With no money or even a change of clothes, how will Janine’s first meeting with Stephanie go?

Shel Myerson recently went through a tough breakup. He was visiting his friend Rocco at Hotel del Fiori Isola del Sole for a break. When he meets Janine, he convinces the hotel staff to treat him as if he is an employee. He doesn’t want Janine to know he is famous celebrity. He just wants to help her and be her friend. Shel and Janine become more than friends pretty quick. When their new romance is threatened, how will Shel convince Janine how much he cares about her?

This novella was very well written with interesting characters and a story that keeps you hanging on to the very end.

Loved this book. imagine waking hung over on the beach, without your friends or your backpack with everything in it and only your clothes on your back and then trying to figure out how the bar tab will be handled . This was Janine's fiest day on the beautiful Isola del Sole. Each page gets better and better as Shel enters and their incredible chemistry is apparent . Perfect read for anytime

The Billionaire's Deception (Amalfi Night Billionaires Book 2) by Mimi Wells is a lighthearted, easy peasy read. Having read the first in the series I was pleased that Sheldon, Rocco’s friend from The Billionaire's Temptation was getting his own story. I was also so glad that his former girlfriend is not the one he winds up with loving. I just didn’t think of it being Rocco’s fiancé’s half-sister. Fun, flirty with a dose of reality thrown in for good measure in Janine’s predicament, then a dash of fairytale magic with Sheldon’s prince charming rescue. It all fits together perfectly.

You can always count on a happily-ever-after with Tule Publishing, but it the journey to that HEA that is so enjoyable. Mimi Wells has done a fantastic job this time. I liked the storyline and the way that Janine and Shel balanced each other out. The tie-in to the first book sure is great but it would, I think, read well as a stand-alone.

Very good story. I enjoyed Janine & Sheldon they were cute together. Sheldon hid who he was when Janine didn't recognize him & proceeded to help Janine after she woke up on the beach of the hotel her sister worked at. Janine had travelled Europe with the last stop at the hotel, what she didn't expect was for her friends to take off leaving her there penniless with no identification or tickets home. Faced with a huge bar bill from the night before she's given a job in the bar with Sheldon's help. They get close but he's hiding secrets & one is about to blow up everything in his face. What will come of the two of them? Definite recommend to read.

This was definitely better than first one. It is about Steffi's half sister Janine and Roc's best friend Sheldon. Janine quit her job and traveling all over Europe and left behind near Hotel Dei Fiori Isola where Steffi works. She was woken by one of the employee and alerts her she needed to pay the bill. When she realize she doesn't have her bags, shel comes to rescue. He helps her to settle in until Steffi comes back from her business trip with Roc. Shel had to keep Janine safe in Hotel Dei Fiori Isola until Steffi comes back Both fell head over heels for each other ad everything going well until his ex on and off girlfriend comes back to reconcile with Shel. Then she finally realize who he is. can Janine look beyond Sheldon's deception and find her happiness.

The Billionaire's Deception is more seductive than it's predecessor (The Billionaire's Temptation by Katherine Garbera). It has more emotion as well. Janine wants to make a connection with something in her life. She is trying to find out who she is, where she belongs and happiness. Shel is seeking the same things but also wants to be accepted for who he is. Not what he has. There is nothing new in the concept but the heart of the story is what I was really looking for. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Billionaire's Deception is the second book in the Amalfi Nights Billionaires series. After reading The Billionaire's Temptation, I couldn't wait to read more about both characters, Rocco's best friend and Steffi's half sister. Mimi Wells' contribution to the series is Shel Myerson and Janine Pike's romance. Shel is on Isola del Sole after his on again, off again girlfriend broke up with him. And Janine is stranded on the last leg of her European adventure.

The Billionaire's Deception is a fun, fast paced, entertaining read. I'm looking forward to reading more in the series.
