Oh my goodness did I LOVE this book! What else has Lucy Parker written, because I want more! I was intrigued when I read Act Like It's description and I checked my shelf every day for a week after I requested it. I'm very appreciative that I was given an ARC so I wouldn't have to wait to read it!
I enjoyed the fact that Richard and Lainie didn't start off infatuated with each other, that their attraction and subsequent feelings, built slowly. Before the two were thrown together, Richard barely noticed Lainie and her opinion of him wasn't terribly favorable. Cute little touches of Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice were thrown in throughout and as an Austen fan myself, I loved that. I don't want to spoil too much about this story, so I will simply say that Act Like It is incredibly well written, humorous, thoughtful and sweet. Everyone who loves a good romance should give this a go!
