What a fun way to get kids excited about art! My girls and I very much enjoyed this one. Detailed review to follow
Review will be posted December 18 Fingerprint Drawing is a book for kids all about finger printing. It teaches them the names of each of their fingers and different techniques to use when painting. There are also examples of things you can make with the tips of your fingers and how many steps it takes to make it into something more like a flower or a bee! There's also a bunch of funny faces you can turn your finger prints into! As the book goes on, the finger painting ideas get more and more complicated - using 2 fingers, making borders, combining the different shapes you can get by using different fingers, etc. Definitely a lot of fun ideas to keep your kids busy the next time they are stuck inside!
I received a free e-copy of this book in order to write this review, I was not otherwise compensated.
This book is a very well done tutorial for young children. The instructions are clear and the examples are colorful and inspiring. It is a good resource for parents and educators to begin their young ones in creating imaginative art pieces.
Fingerprint drawing was a brilliant book that will foster imagination and creativity with your children. I love getting messy, as every child does. I also love looking through pinterest boards for creative ideas to do with my children. My kids are older now, but I can see that they would be interested in fingerprint drawing, using this book as a guide. Not only does it give you the basics, but then it explains patterns that you can make using these instructions. She gives you the ideas, and then lets your imagination run wild.
I received a free copy of this book in return for my honest opinion.
Five stars. Highly recommended. Engaging, whimsical illustrations are sure to grab your child's attention as they encourage him or her to express their creativity. Suggestions and practice illustrations adorn each page of this fantastic book. Even grownups will want to try their hands . . . er, fingers at the exercises in this book, which is sure to provide hours of fun! A worthy addition to your child's library--artist or not!
Absolutely adorable! As both a mom and a preschool teacher, I love all of the cute ideas on display in this book. I can't wait to implement some of them into my preschool classroom. I also think my kids will love doing some fingerprint art projects of their own.
Cute ideas for fingerprint drawing for your small ones (and some more advanced designs and ideas for you, as well, if you feel like creating yourself). This technique is very suitable for small children - it is simple, the results are here quickly, and, moreover, it is messy enough to keep your kids happy :) (so think about washable colours or don´t forget to wear some old clothes).
This book has a lot of fun ideas! Fingerprint art. I never would have thought of it myself!
Get ready to get messy! This delightful book is packed with ideas taking simple painted finger prints and making them into lots of lovely pictures. There are many very basic ideas that toddlers will love to try and more complex ones to challenge adults, too! This colourful book is full of inspirational ideas, step by step instructions and pictures from finger prints. The equipment needed, basic guidance and tips are all there at the beginning but then the fun can start as you don’t need to be able to read to follow the picture illustrations and examples.
Parents and teachers alike will probably love this for giving lots of ideas for youngsters to try out. I saw lots of suggestions that I could make into colourful displays, enabling all pupils in a class to contribute and be proud of their work. So, if you feel like having a fun, messy but really artistic time, check out this book and get some paper, pencils, felts, washable paints, wear clothing you don’t mind getting paint splattered or aprons to protect yourself and have a go!
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for this, an honest review.
What a fun, inspiring crafts book to add to my school library! Plenty of inspirational pictures and not much textual instruction invites young artists to create at will. Love it!
Basic Ideas that toddlers will love. Step by step instructions Beautiful design from fingerprint
