KITT. Knight Rider. Any child of the 80s will be taken back by those names. In the TV show, Michael Long, played by David Hasselhoff cruises around in his artificially intelligent supercar KITT fighting crime and being cool. Now the duo has returned in graphic novel form. Knight Rider: Knight Strikes features six "episodes" in which Micheal and KITT win the day while exchanging their trademark banter and displaying some new technologies.
The story elements and plot lines will be familiar to those who remember the TV shows. The comics do seem to amp up the action and explosions, if for no other reason than that it's much easier to draw stuff blowing up than to actually blow something up. These stories update the Knight world with some modern technology, but also indirectly demonstrate how far ahead of the technological curve the original show was.
These stories would be fun to see as TV episodes, or perhaps incorporated into a movie revival (which has been rumored from time to time). In my opinion, Michael in this book doesn't look that much like Hasselhoff. Maybe that's just me. In any case, Knight Rider: Knight Strikes will delight Knight Rider fans, and stands on its own even for readers who never saw the show.

Michael Knight and Kit are off on a series of adventures. Mainly checking on hideouts to find out which have been compromised, but they do manage to bring down plenty of villains. Kit is tarting to show signs of independence that may not bode well for future cooperation. Still, in all, fun.
I am a big fan of the Knight Rider series, be it watching on TV or reading the comics. The thrill, adventure and the dangerous but oh so lovely stunts are always sure to keep me entertained. Covetting a car just like KITT, I am in love with this supercar and coupled with secret agent Michael Knight, the duo is deadly.
When I heard about this new installment, I just had to pick it up to read and see for myself what these two were up to. KITT and Michael are again saving the country and doing what they do best, while giving us, readers pure entertainment and the thrill of danger while we sit cozy in our home away from true danger.
The plot is well conceived and executed and had me engaged throughout. The images are detailed and well drawn.
The dialogues are fluid and I could relate to the events and felt connected to all the action.
The only issue that I had was with the appearance of the comics in my kindle. The pages were too small to read and I had to click each page to make it bigger and then after reading close the zoomed out image to move to the next page which had me feeling a bit frustrated and losing my flow.
All in all, Knight Rider Vol. 2: Knightstrikes is another electrifying installment in the Knight Rider series and an entertainer. 4 out of 5 to it and recommended to all comics and graphic novels fans.
I received the book from the publishers via Netgalley and I am very thankful to them. The above review is my honest and unbiased opinion and in no way influenced.
