Hollywood celebrates the Holidays is a great coffee table book, with a very interesting theme, beautifully detailed pictures and charming little captions on the side.
At first i was sure that it will only be about Christmas, but i was pleasantly surprised when i found out that wasn't the case. Starting with celebrating New Year's Eve, then Valentine's Day, followed by St. Patrick's Day and finishing with miscellaneous Holidays.
But that was only the first big part. From chapter 5 where the Hollywood Goes to War, the concept shifts a little and we end up in one of my favorite chapters, Holidays in television, then Easter and of course 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
This festive book exudes an elegant innocence and a sophisticated nostalgia. I liked it very much and i definitely recommend it to everyone who likes retro celebrity photography.
