Description
Retired DEA pilot Cale Coleman’s life has slowed to the leisurely pace of running a small charter operation and living the life of a recreational waterman. Coleman is both wrapping up a reunion for childhood friends and battening down the hatches for an approaching hurricane when his life gets a jolt of adrenaline.
Francisco Escobar, nephew of Columbian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar, has spent the last two decades maintaining a low profile but now ready to expand his family’s empire. As Escobar plans for new business opportunities, he also wrestles with how to handle old grievances.
In this riveting thriller, Seth Coker develops a range of unforgettable characters while providing a nuanced glimpse of a waterman’s life on the North Carolina coast.

This book has it all: colorful and real characters, a thriller plot, and a little romance for good measure. There is violence and torture, but it is not too gory. There is love and sex, but it is not too graphic. I had to stay up late to finish it, because the suspense was too much for me to put it down. I loved it!
Great pace, beautiful descriptions of North Carolina and a good plot for a former DEA agent who thinks he's going to get to live a quiet life!
This book is the first I've read by Seth Coker and I was totally captivated. I loved the development of the characters and the way the whole book just flowed. It was a very hard book to put down once I started reading it. The book was full of intrigue, suspense and just the right amount of romance.
I really enjoyed Salty Sky by Seth Coker. It starts off in 1993, I believe, and then jumps to present day. It has all the excitement that you could want in a thriller. It is action packed, and keeps you on your toes. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends!
The only real problem that I found was the font size on the e-copy. The title of the book, and what year it was (before and after the prologue) was too large to be legible. It is still a very good for a debut book. I will be looking forward for more books from this author. .
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is an utterly captivating and thrilling story. So intense and well written it pulls you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The characters are edgy and real. A totally enjoyable book.
