Description

Readers first met sassy Kimberly Long in Blogger Girl, and now the feisty New Yorker is back in a standalone sequel packed with quick wit, friendship, heartache, and, of course, romance. Kim runs the most popular chick lit book blog on the web, loves playing house with her sexy lawyer boyfriend, Nicholas, and is finally pursuing her life-long dream to become a published author. At first glance, her life is five-pink-champagne-flutes worthy. But is there more to the story than meets the eye? After hearing the phrase "chick lit is dead" more times than she's read Bridget Jones's Diary, Kim is driven to desperate measures, seeking advice from up-and-coming chick lit author, Hannah Marshak, her high school nemesis and resident "mean girl." As if Kim doesn't have enough on her plate balancing her secretarial duties with her blog Pastel is the New Black, shrugging off the growing pile of agent rejections, and keeping her best friend from turning green over Kim's budding friendship with Hannah, Nicholas is so blinded by his career ambitions, he doesn't see that their home sweet home could use more than a dash of sugar. This is the year when all of Kim's dreams—professional and romantic—are supposed to come true, but will the story have a happily ever after or will Kim end up unpublished and all alone? This novel can be read as a sequel or as a standalone and is best accompanied by a cocktail, preferably a pink one.

Advance Praise

From the first page to the last, I was hooked and didn't want it to end.. (Is it to soon to ask for a 3rd book??) Review 5 pink champagne glasses

Novelista Girl by Meredith Schorr will keep you guessing until the very end--there are so many twists and turns along the way! Catching up with the characters from Blogger Girl is really fun! Kimmie Strong and “squad” once again makes for a very engaging chic-lit read.
I couldn't be more excited about Novelista Girl if I tried! The only thing that makes me sad is that I finished it! I secretly hope that there is a 3rd book in the series in the works!

Novelista Girl is an amazing stand alone sequel to Blogger Girl. There was the perfect amount of back story. And what I felt was great about how both books are written was I feel you could read either one first. I couldn't put the book down and read it in one sitting. Full of drama, twist, turns, laugh out loud moments, tears and love Novelista Girl is a book not to miss!

Incredible... If you haven't read any of Meredith Schorr's books... Get On It!!!
I found myself laughing at their antics, smiling at the friendships, frowning when things did not go as I had hoped, and having tears when I feared that the characters were going to end up on the wrong path. This is a MUST READ to anyone who is looking for a fun, easy, relatable, chic-lit story.

Although i hadnt read the first book Blogger Girl, i was assured i didnt need to as this could be a standalone. With such a bright and beautiful cover, this would certainly stand out from a shelf to any Chick Lit reader I really enjoyed engaging with all the Charactors and it was great to see Chick Lit is not dead.
This follows Kim who is a Chick Lit Blogger trying to get her own book published.
Aswell as Nick her Lawyer boyfriend, we have her BFF Bridget and Arch enemy turned Author Hannah from her School days.
Will Hannah help Kim forfill her dream or not?.
Meredith brings to life these Charactors and i enjoyed how each one had their own little stories that fitted in so well.
A few laughs and surprises on the way makes Novelista Girl, one you just want to keep on reading.

OMG... OMG.. OMG!

I think, I found myself in Kimberly Long's shoes! The way she thinks about her blog, the reviews she does for the authors, the cover reveals and blog tours, the way she feels guilty over 3-pink champagne flute reviews.. Gosh, Kim Long is basically.. ME. (except for Nicholas and being a novelista part.) After reading this book, I think, I can safely say, WE are kindred spirits.

This isn't my first Meredith Schorr book. A few months ago, I enjoyed her hearty "nearing milestone age" book, How Do You Know and I told myself I will read the next books that she's gonna write. And I'm so glad I had this opportunity with Novelista Girl. (Too bad, I wasn't able to read the first book Blogger Girl)

Kim is a blogger and a budding, promising writer, whose current main goal is to have her book published. She's sent her book to literary publishers for review and she's being rejected all the time. Her high school nemesis Hannah is back with a new bestseller book in tow and asks her to put a spotlight on her book in her blog, Pastel is the New Black. And then her co-worker Daneen bitches about her work as a blogger, legal secretary and a writer. And then there's her boyfriend lawyer hottie Nicholas, who seems to be taking her for granted lately ever since his father suggested he take up higher positions as a lawyer, like being a Director General or maybe a Senator for example.

Despite all the dilemma she's been having, her loyal friend Bridget is always there for her. Although, Kim thinks her friend also got some issues in the "should I get married or not" department.

Meredith scored another great hit from Kim Long. Novelista Girl is a delectable read, sassy, fun, sweet and hot - all rolled into one! Miss Schorr always keeps me interested with her characters. They were quite real and they remind me of some people I know. I couldn't help myself chuckling from time to time. Highly recommended to everyone who wants to have a good laugh and a good time. Looking forward to reading more of her books soon!

The main character, Kim, got on my nerve a few times. However, for the most part, this was a fun and enjoyable book. The book held my interest and there were even a few laughs. There were a few times that the right people were put in their place, I especially enjoyed that.

There were a few paragraphs of explicit sex (not real bad, just the usual stuff) that I skipped. Most of it was just implied. It was a couple who had just moved in together, so it was discussed quite frequently, but as I said, mostly implied. I would consider it pretty tame.

For me, it was just fun entertainment and I enjoyed reading it. Of course, the best part was when the mean girls got theirs. Duh, always, ha!

Thanks to Booktrope for approving my request and to Net Galley for providing me with a free e-galley in exchange for an honest review.

The second in a series (I think) that centers around a young woman, Kim who is a blogger and secretary who really wants to write and blog full time, but she isn't there yet. She must juggle a lot of things as well as a relationship with a lawyer who doesn't have much time himself and something is bound to suffer.

As a blogger who doesn't want to be a writer, I still enjoyed this one. It was absolutely fun to hear what goes on in my own head with mounting TBRs, scheduling posts and working with people in publishing, it was fun to read something that hit so close to home! At times I wanted to pass this book out to friends and my dear husband, so they could hear what all goes into this blog of mine!

I would absolutely recommend to start at book one in this series, but this is one not to miss!

Great Book!
This is a great book by Meredith Schorr. This book is the follow up book after the book Blogger Girl. This book can be read as a standalone, or can be read after Blogger Girl. Kimberly (Kim) Long lives in New York and runs the most popular chick lit book blog on the web. She has finally decided to follow her dream and write a book. Kim is driven to desperate measures when she seeks advice from an up and coming chick lit author, Hannah Marshak, who happens to be her high school nemesis. If you are looking for a fun book then you need to read this one. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Loving this. I adore Book blogger Kimberly Long is shopping around her debut novel. This is fun, fast ride and did I mention she is book blogger and writer, I instantly felt connected to Kim.

The book and description was what initially drew me in but Meredith Schorr did an excellent job of keeping me hooked.

This book has a sequel, Blogger Girl that I must read. Novelista Girl can be thoroughly enjoyed as a stand alone.

I do hope there is a third book in the series very soon.
