Description

Successful, workaholic author Carrie Bennett lives through her writing, but can’t succeed at writing a man into her life. Furthermore, her equally successful but cynical daughter, Paige, proves inconsolable after the death of her fiancé.

thoroughly enjoyed this novel once I got used to the authors writing style. It switches voices among the four main characters which took me awhile to differentiate and enjoy. Each character's actions and reactions seem to fit his or her unique character portrait, and I found them compelling and engaging. The story itself was well plotted and evenly paced. I would say it was a gentle, entertaining read. The ending was left a bit open ended, so perhaps there is a sequel in the works? I would definitely like to continue my time with the characters.
