(IMPORTANT: This is the first book in the 2016 Lyric Poets Project Summer Editing Program—see A Note From the Publisher for additional information)
Mid-Grade Fiction
Grade Level: 3rd-6th (Age 9-12)
Foreverafter: An Odd Adventure
Audrey is a girl who lives in a perpetual state of boredom in her small town. Her only friend is a boy named Kite from a travelling circus. She tries to keep herself busy with all sorts of jobs around town and listening to Kite’s stories, but she’s always had one thought in her head: I want to go on my own adventure.
It appears that her wish finally comes true as a flying island appears over her town, and whisks Audrey and Kite away to a far-off place, where magical creatures and folk roam. But she may have gotten more than she bargained for, lost in a strange and hostile world. It’s up to Audrey and Kite to learn how to master the strange workings of this world and find their way home.
Part One: Crash Landers
A flying island whisks friends Odd and Kite far away from their mundane town and into a forest in the magical Nightlands. But strange things are stirring with their arrival, and they may not be alone!
Part Two: Guardians
Odd’s new powers cause havoc for Kite, and with the help of their new friends he must learn to be Odd’s protector while she learns more about her strange abilities and missing father.
Part Three: Run-away Runaways
It seems that there is more to the residents of this forest than first appeared. Betrayal turns the group against each other as secret plans are put into motion that may destroy the Nightlands, and the fractured group may not be able to stop them!

A Note From the Publisher
About the Lyric Poets Project:
Bring some adventure to your summer reading program! We're looking for student editors for a summer reading adventure that combines a traditional summer reading program with a creative writing learning experience, allowing grade-school students to participate in the editing process of a published book.
Final editing of Foreverafter: An Odd Adventure will be accomplished with young readers’ involvement as part of this year’s Lyric Poets Project. We are posting this title on NetGalley to solicit interest in the program. The current manuscript has not been fully edited, and the cover graphic is not final. The edited book will be reposted on NetGalley for traditional reviews following the completion of the summer program.

Marketing Plan
The Lyric Poets Project is currently in an early pilot with 4th and 5th grade public school classrooms. General sign-ups will begin in mid-April via a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign. The crowdfunding campaign will offer individual and class participation in the Lyric Poets Project program, as well as take pre-orders for the book without participation. This Kickstarter campaign will be targeted toward parents and teachers of 4th-6th grade students in public, private, and homeschool settings.
Foreverafter, An Odd Adventure (Part 1) manuscript and editing material will be available for free beginning mid-April. Lyric Poets Project participants will receive Part 2 and Part 3 during the summer to read and provide editing input on.
We are looking for social media reviews and promotion of the program as well as an early look at the book itself. We’re available for interviews regarding the program, and can provide more information (including early looks at the editing materials and manuscripts for Part 2 and 3). Contact chrisbell@atthisarts.com for any questions or requests.
Please do not post traditional reviews on sites such as Goodreads at this time. Thank you!
