Description
Elizabeth Ann Rose calls the Indian reservation in southern California
home, and is upset and angry when she and her family must leave and
travel the road again while her daddy plays in his band and tries to
become famous.
She and her family live out of an old beat up station wagon traveling from one city to another. Sometimes, living in dirty old hotel rooms where mice and cockroaches are their only pets.
When Beth Ann turns eleven she finds more than chocolate cake being served. Her mom serves her daddy divorce papers, takes her three children and heads out to begin a new life. In one short summer, Beth Ann’s life completely changes, and she ends up in Novata, a small Northern California town. The very town that will change her life forever.

Great addition to a great saga! By the time I read books 1 and 2, I was so ready to read this one that took us back to the beginning of these characters that we've grown to love & respect. Beth Ann had the best friends anybody could ask for! I enjoyed reading about the magic in the little town of Novato, Ca and want to go there to visit it now! I want to see where they swam in the pond & slid down the hill on cardboard! I could almost smell the little town and feel the joy just from reading about it. The bond that Beth Ann & Kaylob had from Day 1 was so sweet & natural, it has you rooting for them right from the start... And it has you wishing Kaylob wasn't so dang honorable! Poor ol' Beth Ann, having to put up with a boy who minds his manners & respects her to the point where she just about loses her mind! Kaylob is the boy we all want to believe our sons will be like, and the boy we hope our daughters meet & marry. I cant wait for the next book in the saga! --Terrie (Amazon reviewer)
I am on my second read through of the saga of Seasons of Love and War. The Journey of Elizabeth Ann is just that. A journey back to the beginning. You can feel her joy, her pains and her sorrows and see her grow. Feeling the sorrow of her family breaking up, but having a new and better life in front of her... I love the description of her arrival in to Novato. Arriving on a bus, seeing her new home for the first time, such a small town experience to have. One thing I like is that while having read the book before, it was like a new experience. I am going to be sad to see the saga come to an end. It has been a pleasure to read. Brenda Ashworth Barry, keeps the characters real, and makes you want to get to know them and go on the journey through life with them....... --Marian Peronon (Amazon reviewer)
