I was given a copy of Rescue Me through the publisher and their partnership with Netgalley in exchange for my honest review which is as follows:
Steve McNeal finds himself injured just feet from the trail when Ronnie finds herself having to rescue him thankfully nothing is broke. Ronnie is trying not to allow herself to get to close to Steve because she fears he will die on the job as a firefighter.
Ronnie tries to avoid dangerous and traumatic situation but she’s training to be an EMT so they are inevitable. But when Steve’s Mom is hurt Ronnie blames herself and tries to avoid him at all costs.
Will Ronnie be able to continue her training as an EMT and will she be able to allow herself to admit her feelings for Steve?
Find out in Rescue Me.
I give this book five out of five stars
Happy Reading
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a clean romance, no foul language or sex scenes but definite chemistry and tension.
Steve was a firefighter and had been in love with Ronnie for years. Ronnie didn't want to love Steve because he could be killed in his dangerous line of work. Her father had been a firefighter and was killed while trying to rescue another firefighter in a burning house. She just couldn't take that kind of pain again. So, she pushed Steve away and closed off her heart to him and all firefighters.
Ronnie worked in Rescue so she was constantly interacting with Steve and the the other firefighters so she couldn't step away from him completely. Steve was determined that he could help her to trust God again and take a risk on loving him. I won't give away all the details of this story but suffice it to say that I loved it. The characters were real, with real fears and challenges. There are not enough good clean romances out there and this is one of the good ones.
I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I will definitely be looking for more books by this author.
Steve McNeal stole my reader heart from the very beginning. He is so sweet yet patiently determined to win back his lady love. Steve is also a dedicated firefighter AND a man of faith! Now throw in his handsome appearance and charming personality, this guy is a catch!
Greif stricken Ronnie Spencer is still reeling from the death of her firefighter father. Her hurt is keeping her from living and loving. Ronnie has distanced herself from both Steve and God. Her journey to healing is encouraging and inspirational.
