Everlast (The Chronicles of Nerissette) is the first book in Andria Buchanan's series about a young girl who soon finds herself (along with her classmates), with the magic of a dusty old book, transported to the magical realm of Narissette where karma rules and your social status is determined by what you deserve.
Allie Munroe has only ever wanted to belong. Nice and smart, but still invisible she jumps at the chance to be in a group project with her friends and the popular kids. Unbeknownst to her, they soon find themselves in Nerissette and if being in an unknown world wasn't enough...she's the Crown Princess! And to save herself and her classmates from evil forces she'll have to become a leader.
I enjoyed this story and Ms. Buchanan's world-building with its many magical creatures and how Allie is connected to Nerissette. The characters were also enjoyable. I loved Allie, Winston and Mercedes. This is a fun and entertaining introduction to a series that anyone who loves magic, adventure, and friendship will enjoy.
Everlast by Andria Buchanan is a story not to miss.
