Description

Sturgis. Half a million bikers, wannabes, and families in a town of fewer than 7000 residents. What could go wrong?

Cricket.
When my dad persuaded me to take one last vacation with my family after college graduation, he had no idea that I’d just broken up with my boyfriend of two years. That wasn’t my only secret. I had a much better reason to agree to be part of Dad’s lost-youth, bucket list plan. Half a million bikers? Surely there was at least one who could rock my world by giving me what I needed in bed.
Zach
From yards away I watched Jake pick up the girl like he had some kind of voodoo power. One minute she was spilling beer all over Pug, and the next she was walking out of the bar with Jake, who’d just, from the look of it, seduced her right there. I was in Sturgis with the Dust Devils to do a job and earn my patch. Not to poach a girl from the Veep’s son. But damned if I wasn’t going to try.

Zach leaving his house to be a prospect in a bikers club Cricket wanted some raw kinky action from a biker. Well at first cricket meets manwhore Jake and all he cares about is screwing and trying to make his own club. Zach the minute he sees Cricket he wants her but since he's prospect he didn't know what to do. Then Zach gets into a very bad accident and everything changes. Will Cricket stay with Zach and finally be together? What will the club say about everything? Drama, romance great book! 4/5 stars

I received a free ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

Zach met Cricket at a big motorcycle meet held in Sturgis. Zach was a a new prospect with the Dust Devil MC and Cricket was going on one last vacation with her family. Cricket was on a mission to meet a biker though, the hotter the better.

Cricket was at a bar where the Devils were and hooked up with Jake, one of the brothers. Jake was hot but arrogant. Later when Cricket passed out, he called on Zach to get her out of his room so Zach took her to his room til she woke up. He walked her home and of course she got attitude when she brought home a biker, she got upset and walked out on the family, bag and baggage. She had plans to get together with Jake and go back with the club but she had no reality of the truth.

When everything blew up in her face, she didn't want to go home or didn't feel she could. So Zach took her back with his and had her staying with his mom until she could find a job. She and Zach spent time together when they could, as friends. He cared about her but didn't push and she found herself caring about him as more than a friend.

Zach is badly hurt in an accident and recovery will take a long time. He will survive but may not function fully. Now Cricket has to decide how she feels about Zach and if she can handle his injuries, possibly lifelong.

Will she sty in his life and will Zach let her?

This story was about becoming an adult to me. Both Cricket and Zach had some illusions about life although Zach was more mature about it. The MC didn't really help him after his accident and because he was just a prospect, he would never become a part of the MC. There were some internal issues going on with the MC but I was annoyed they didn't support him more.

Cricket had to do a lot of thinking about her and Zach and she really did analyze it well. It was really great to see them deal with their upcoming life, if it were to be. Zach also turned himself around also.

What I didn't like was that the chapters were in so many points of view. I have read books where the 2 main characters alternate chapters but this was more like 5 characters and I found it a bit confusing. A couple of times, I had to page back to see who was "talking".

I also felt like some storylines weren't finished. The way it was written, it sounded to me like Zach's accident was not an accident, he was the unlucky victim riding someone elses' bike.

All in all, I did like the book though, I just felt like it needed a bit more polishing. I would of liked to see more about his relationship with his step-father Carl also.

arc given in exchange for a honest review

First off I love this author.. but this was not my favorite.. I did enjoy it but there was just something different.. I think the mix of all the different pov's.. But Jessa can really tell a story..

I truley did enjoy Cricket and Zach's story.. It took em a while to get there but they did..

Cricket wanting to unwind maybe get her freak on (hehe)..while on a final family vaca to Sturgis.. Meeting Jake she knew she wanted him.. and she got her little piece of him but when he dosent share what she feels.. she becomes friends with Zach.. and that friendship of course blossoms into a love..

As i stated.. Jessa is amazing.. she is talanted.. Love her writing style.. Please check out her books.. you wont be disapointed. :-)
