Another great edition of Buzz Books, this time dedicated to the romance genre! I don't typically read romance, so this sampler was a great way to experience the many different aspects of romance: Historical, Suspense, Fantasy and Paranormal. After a warm and welcoming introduction, there are twenty titles featured. Each entry includes a quick summary, a lengthy excerpt, an author's bio and publication information. Many of the excerpts include a helpful link to the full version on Netgalley! I am really excited about Twilight at Blueberry Barrens by Colleen Coble, Now That It's You by Tawna Fenske, On Second Thought by Kristan Higgins, Sunset in Central Park by Sarah Morgan, and A Portrait of Emily Price by Katherine Reay.

I absolutely love these books filled with excerpts! I am a huge fan of romance so I was excited to see this book offered. I have found a lot of books that I will be adding to my TBR because of this book.

Great collection of must read books! I love these because I always find an author or two who is new to me and who I start to read and enjoy.

I can always use help fine-tuning my TBR pile & this book is helped! I loved finding favorite authors & knowing great books from them are around the corner; I'm always looking to try new genres and this definitely helped me single out a few I want to try. Great info!

I just love this idea! You get to read exerts from many different books to see if.you will like them. Most of the stories have a request link at the end and I will admit I clicked on many of them. So many good novels coming out! I requested quite a few, wished for one and added some to my TBR pile! The best thing about Book Buzz is that I am exposed to books I normally wouldn't even look at and that expands my comfort zone. I love finding new authors and am usually pleasantly surprised when I request a book from Book Buzz that is outside my normal genre and wind.up loving the book!

Great way to be introduced to different authors

I found the "2016 Romance Publishing Preview" to be very good and helpful for ordering romance. Definitely useful! I would consider this book a tool for librarians and not something that I would necessarily purchase for the public. I would absolutely recommend this title to other librarians purchasing for romance.

Buzz Books Romance is a great way to get out of a rut and try subgenres you would normally avoid. I usually read historicals (and there are some great ones in here!) but was also able to find some new contemporary authors to try, bwahaha. Huzzah for finding more catnip!

Loved this. It is everything a reader would want- things to look forward to, how to plan a reading calendar... and just plain fun getting a heads up on the terrific books to come.

Awesome collection!

Book Buzz 2016 Romance has a very strong list of historical and paranormal romance for the rest of the year. Already looking forward to reading and recommending new titles.

I have read other preview books before, but Buzz Books by “Publishers Lunch” is, by far, the best one I have ever read. It includes many different types of romances such as historical, contemporary, thriller and so on.

In the introduction, the editor reveals that this book contains “some of the most anticipated new titles appearing next season.” This is important to me because I have read other review books that had lots of unknown authors and very few of the popular ones. Although, I always look forward to new authors, I usually impatiently await for the next books by my favorite authors.

The next chapter includes an overview of each included author’s book. It manages to give us a small taste of the characters and plot in each book so we can decide if we may be interested or not. Then, each subsequent chapter after that is devoted to one author and their latest book.
Each chapter begins with a nice summary of one of the included books. This is not just a reprint of the information on the back of the book. This is a longer, more explicit, summary (no spoilers included) which is usually a minimum of one page. This is followed by an extended excerpt from the book (longer than most other excerpts available), and information about the author. Finally, Buzz Books includes the price and the publishing date of the book with a link to enable the reader to preorder the book.

If a reader likes to list the names of favorite new books, and, then, use it to make a list to refer to for the future –as I do - then this is the perfect book for us. And the best part – this book is free!
I, sincerely, hope this group intends to put out a new Buzz Book for every season because I would love to find out more future information about my favorite authors and their new books.

I love the Buzz Books samplers and I am so excited there is a romance one! There are so many great authors included in this, and I can't wait to add some of these books to my TBR list.

The ones I'm most excited for seem to mostly come from the historical list. The first one I preordered was Wild, Wicked Scot and from there I also preordered both once a Soldier and Once a Rebel. The Illusionist's Apprentice is the one I'm most excited for - who can resist Houdini?

'After the Wedding[ by Milan was already on order because, well, Milan, of course, and is mentioned in the introduction of this collection..

'Follow Me' is on hold at the library for when it comes out, as who can resist a good thriller?

As always I love these samplers and they make buying books so much easier - you can check whether you like the writing style or not, and it gets you so hyped up for so many books!

This is such a great idea! I loved getting to read a preview of the upcoming books, and Sarah Wendell's (or whoever did the season overview) preview was very helpful. I will be adding a lot of titles to my shopping wish list!

This is a really great publication for anyone that wants to know what is coming out in romance in the future! There are 20 different books being showcased and you will be surprised at all they have included. I loved that there were new to me authors on here as well as well known and loved authors in every kind of romance I love! There is historical romance, sports romances, thrillers and romantic suspense, westerns, contemporary comedy and paranormal-stand alone novels and continuing series as well.

At the end of each book they feature, there is a link where you can request a copy from Netgalley! There are other books you can find listed in other copies of Buzz Books for fall/winter and Young adult Publications as well, but this one is just for romance!

I really appreciate this publication, and I can see some of my favorite authors of romance listed here! I have to say this is one of the best publications I have ever seen for book to be published in the near future. It looks like a promising future with some awesome romance coming out!

I love reading these samplers. Each snippet was of a different genre and by a different Author. Needless to say, I now own several new books on my Kindle after finishing this book!!

It was a delight to be introduced to new Authors. I think these samplers should be published more often. It would give Readers new Authors to pursue. It would also get those Readers who are devoted to certain Authors a chance to step out of their comfort zone and read new ones. Just a suggestion.

I enjoyed this preview of upcoming romance titles - not all were to my taste, but there were more than a few that were - I've got more requests in on NetGalley and a few more on my to-read pile too.

I usually don't read much romance, but it's great to get these samples and see if I can connect with the characters without having to actually commit to requesting a galley or purchasing the book when it releases. I really enjoyed a couple of them and will be adding them to my reading list.

I enjoyed and at the same time was infuriated by this book. It gave me just the right amount of each story to get me hooked and now i have an extremely large list of books i want to buy -_-

A great free resource for fans of the romance genre. Lots of upcoming historical romance, traditional romance and contemporary. Slightly lacking in LGBT but I'm sure fans of the romance genre will find something here to suit.

This is a great free resource for any romance fan who'd like a preview of some of the best new books being released later this year. It's nice to have so many excerpts gathered in one place, and I appreciate that the sampler includes several new-to-me authors. I'm looking forward to checking many of these books out!

This book is a good sampler of the different books that are coming out, but there was one standout. The Kristan Higgins sample was fantastic. Can't wait to read the actual book. There were a few other definitely good samplers, a nice preview.

Really interesting sampler book that introduced me to a few authors I hadn't read before, but that I'd like to read now. There are samples for 20 books in this one publication, most excerpts are from Chapter 1 which is great, but a couple jump in part way through the book which I didn't like as much. There are links at the end of lots of the samplers that lead you back to NetGalley to request the book, you don't get automatically approved, as usual it would depend on the publisher and the country you live in. But really interesting way of getting the 'buzz' of books around, although now I really, really want a couple of them (Kristan Higgins & Jill Shalvis) and of course they're the ones without any links!

Fantabulous! I don't read that much straight up romance anymore but I was curious about this so requested it on Netgalley. I actually enjoyed most of the excerpts. I recognize a few of the authors. Most I do not but would be willing to give them a try. I do like Jill Shavis and she has one in this. It is nice to preview the titles and think about, buy/request the ones that seem very appealing. Highly recommended!

Buzz Books is a convenient way to sample snippets of upcoming promising new books from a specific genre. For the first time, they offered a romance edition; the books are all due to be published late this year. Length varied from a couple of pages to a dozen pages or more. I think two of the books were novellas, two were Christmas-themed, a couple were paranormal romances, a couple were western romances, one or two were historical, so it was a good mix. I requested four Advance Reader Copies and considered at least two more. Not everything was exactly what I would have chosen, but I read two-thirds of the stories completely and skimmed the ones I found less interesting. I admit that I wasn't sure I'd like the Buzz Books format when I first noticed them, but I read one a few months ago and found it to be a great resource. I expect this to be equally useful.

Minor glitch: The selections include links to ARC sites and/or publisher sites following the sample. Most of them were fine, but I clicked one and the book later showed up on my netgalley approved list without me requesting it. This is like clicking on a Check Price button that turns out to be a mislabeled Buy It Now button.

If you read romances by the armful, or a variety of different romance sub-genres, this is an excellent way to sample a lot of books, gain exposure to new authors, and get a feel for a variety of writers. The only downside? It's entirely too easy to start adding to your To Be Read list!

Always love a new edition of Buzz Books!

This is an interesting collection of soon to be published romance books. Each excerpt is followed by the publishing information for that book. There are a wide variety of romance genres included. In particular, I like the I introduction which gives a brief overview of the books included, as well as others in each genre that are soon to published. This was a very helpful book for avid readers, to be able to look ahead to see what books are coming up within the next few months. Several synopses include the book link to NetGalley for requesting. I have seen these books offered before but this is the first time I have requested one. I will request again. Very helpful tool.

These previews are great! Saves time and money for Librarians with small budgets!

Nice little sampler with all good books everyone's bound to find something that interests them I didn't think I would but there's two books I'm really looking forward to! December I'm waiting!

This is an excellent resource for anyone wanting to discover the upcoming romances in several subgenres. The teasers are also good as they allow a taste for the book so that you know somewhat what you will be getting beforehand and can make a more informed decision.

I always enjoy reading these "buzz" books. They provide an excerpt to great novels that might otherwise be overlooked. I usually end up reading most of the books I find on these lists.

For a serious romance reader, it’s an excellent guide to upcoming books releasing in the next few months. A nice way to see what new romance books are on the horizon and grab your interest in them for pleasure, review, or both.

Great selection of romance novels with a wide range of moods and genres, from sweet to erotic, from suspenseful to comic. The variety is perfect for readers wanting to expand outside a genre or try something new.

If you like reading samples of a lot of new books that are coming out, this is a nice buffet. There were several in here that I'll definitely be looking out for when they come out. It's nice to have them all in one place.

This is a great little sampler for readers of romance. The excerpts are long enough to give you a good idea of what the books are about, without giving away too much information. I discovered several that caught my eye, so I really appreciated that!

This is the first time I've read Buzz books. I'm glad I had the opportunity to get a glimpse of some of the fall/winter 2016 books. I did find it helpful. My to read pile is ever growing. So many books so little time...

I loved that they included Romance in their book selections because every now and then you need a little light fun reads and that is what this provided. I discovered some hidden little gems and authors that i would never had read but since reading the snippets I want to read the book. keep these coming

I absolutely love this concept and really enjoyed reading the various excerpts included in this collection. This was my first experience with one of the Buzz Books collections, and I am definitely looking forward to future editions. While not every story is one I would seek out, I found several books that I need to find and read.

This collection shared excerpts from 20 different books with all different types of storylines. Some of the books shared are debuts, others are from long established authors. I added at least 10 of the books featured to my wish list and look forward to reading the full story.

I think my only complaint would be that the excerpts end right as I was getting involved with the story. Which of course, only makes me want to get the book all the more… so it’s done it’s job!

A mix of enjoyable and too dry to want to continue, this is a promising selection of excerpts.

As someone new to this reviewing game, the Buzz Books collection is terribly exciting. What a fantastic way of previewing my next reads on NetGalley! I'm not much of a romance reader, but some of these piqued my interest. I've made a couple of request, but I'm usually outside the regions that publishers want so I'm not holding my breath.

I love being able to read scenes from books that aren't released yet. The ability to get a glimpse inside something that will be out in the upcoming months is fun and makes getting excited over a book even easier. I enjoyed getting to know new to me authors and their upcoming works!

Do you like romance books to read? I often have found it confusing what type of romance! Not to mention author.. I do like romance but my romance books are pretty restricted until I read this! Do you wish you could read parts of the book before buying a romance? This is the book for you! I don't always know if I will enjoy the way an author writes his/her romance novel. This is a great source for booksellers and librarians, especially those that do ordering, to make informed decisions with their precious dollars.

This is a wonderful collective of great authors, some I have read from before, like Ashenden, Balogh, London, Roads, just to name a few. I really liked the sneak peek into these stories and am very thankful to Netgalley. I have had this book on my TBR for quite some time and just started on it last night and just finished. These authors have given us the summary along with a an excerpt into some awesome books. Some authors that I will be picking up to read their books are Julia London with Wild Wicked Scot, Jill Shalvis with The Trouble with Mistletoe, Tiffany Snow's Follow Me and Lori Wilde A Weding for Christmas. I was captivated by these stores and will be adding them to my ever growing TBR, Lol.
