What's more, the book tackles the universal challenge of getting children - vegetarian or not - to enjoy and eat up their veg. Packed with simple, fresh recipes that are nutritious and use vegetables in interesting and inspiring ways, the book is set to lure even the most reticent of eaters.
There are ideas for every type of meal including energy-boosting breakfasts; easy snacks; inspiring vegetable side dishes; and the bane of many parents? lives, packed lunches. Each recipe highlights a super-healthy 'Hero Food', giving information on its health benefits, and also included are step-by-step 'Kids Cook' features, with ideas for delicious dishes children can cook themselves, with just a little help from a parent. Easy to understand, great photos and delicious recipes....this is the one you need to buy and keep in the kitchen at all times
I found a lot of these recipes helpful, although some required a lot of special ingredients that a non vegan household wouldn't have on hand.
I think it will be helpful when my vegan daughter and her family come to visit. A well put together collection.
Will also post to Amazon upon publication. Thanks for the opportunity to read and review this book
Feeding the kids is a challenging task every mom faces. This book has number of healthy vegetarian recipes every kid will like to eat........... wonderful book with delicious recipes and perfect photography.........
A beautifully laid out and very vibrant cookbook! Just the kind I like. The recipes are easy to follow; super healthy, and don't use too many ingredients so they're affordable to make. Great idea having facts about the food too. A great way to make a cookbook educational. I could see this being a huge hit for kids and parents alike. Love it!
A nice book with lots of extra information. I don't think it is particularly for children though,. I gave it to one of my children to look through and they were not impressed. I think it would have been better if there were photographs for more of the recipes. It maybe more suited to well established vegetarian families, not those just wanting their children to eat more vegetarian and healthy food.. Overall some good tips and information, and quite nice to look at. The best selling point is the nutrient content of everything. Thank you and good luck with it
A great, very informative book that promotes and gives you healthy vegetarian recipes for your family. I appreciated the information included and I am trying many of the recipes. The photos were also beautiful. A good all around healthy cookbook for the whole family, especially kids.
This book can be a wonderful addition to any family with children. It contains simple, fun recipes as well as essential information on nutrition needed for children. The illustrations alone make you want to make the recipe. There are several combinations I would never have thought of such as carrot and apricot oatmeal. There is a large variety of recipes and a vast variety of vegetables used. The egg cups are easy to make and a healthy way to start off a day. This book will get a lot of use in my house.
