I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
What a quick and easy read, I knew it had to do with a cowboy but was pleasantly surprised when it was an Australian cowboy.
Emily Wolfe is a real estate to the elite who is tired of going through the same old dates with the same results, she then competes in a reality TV show for the heart of the cowboy. Will Parker is a sexy, rugged farmer whose heart has been broken before.
The characters were extremely likeable, Emily made me laugh on so many occasions. This was one of those books that once you pick it up, you can’t put it down. Towards the end, I was sobbing and just wanted to fix everything for Emily and Will. Truly a wonderful story.
Just a word of warning, this is probably not a book for under-aged readers, as there are some language and sexual content.

Wil had me melt. he was honest, hard working, kind, considerate and caring. He didn’t want to hurt any of the girls and felt bad each time he did. From the moment he saw Emily he knew. He knew she was what he wanted and that he was in love. He was attentive and respectful to all the women on the show but with Emily you saw the sparks. Even after his ex did what she did he kept believing there would be someone for him. He was swoony especially with some of his dates and how he was with family...
Emily like will didn’t want to be on the show but went on. For her it was her friend who pushed her and for him his brother. She never expected the cowboy to be what he was. She was very independent and smart as a whip. Very distrusting of men though. she walled up her heart and didn’t want to give it up. Even though she felt something for Wil she kept saying it was temporary and she would be going back to her life again. That she was a city girl and nothing else mattered. That Wil would disappoint her and that love was painful. she would leave before she was disappointed for that is what men do.
Watching the contestants with their viciousness and snarky comments was written in a real way for that is what you do see on those types of shows. The way the girls did become friends to an extent was nice to see as well. Each date was sweet and the interactions of Wil and Emily were entertaining. Especially out by the tree. Emily did start to let her guard down and did believe what she was saying, having Wil fall more and more for her. The energy and attraction around them could be seen in every action and interaction between them. Wil was falling hard and hoping so much that Emily would want to stay in the country with him. He was a smart and passionate man and loved his family and was letting Emily in. Emily was just as passionate but she also had alot of anger and distrust. She was taking her anger towards her father and misplacing it onto those she dated and Wil.
We do get to see this anger rear its head and Emily do something that has you sneer at her. It is crushing to see her treat Wil the way she did. She broke his spirit and hope. I did say I was glad that she realized what was important in the end and fought for love. I was also glad Wil is such an amazing guy and in the end we get a HEA.
this is a entertaining and sweet romance. I laughed and smiled during each encounter and when we had those hot moments fanned myself. I was so glad to see Wil and change Emily and Emily want to be with Wil and fall in love with him.
