Description

Maggie Abernathy learns that pesky neighbors John and Chloe McIntyre are moving to Montana. The only problem is…she can’t fathom living without them now that they’ve stolen her heart. While trying to digest the news and accept John’s decision to leave Michigan, Maggie ventures to Chicago with Chloe to see Chloe’s Hollywood mother in a photo shoot, where the three kindle a quirky bond making it even harder for Maggie to say goodbye. With the support of Maggie’s meddling mother, her best friend Judy, and a surprise visit from Montana rancher Winston Ludlow McIntyre, Maggie begins to wonder which fork in the road leads home.

1. "I began reading Maggie’s Fork in the Road about a week ago, but I put the book aside after only a half-chapter. My inner-reader/writer told me to stop. To back-track and read the first book in the series before I went on with the new one.

And boy am I glad I did. Book 1, Maggie’s Way, has over 30 well-deserved five-star reviews. I predict this follow-up story will do just as well.

I love a mature heroine...a woman who’s conquered some pretty compelling obstacles. Cancer, divorce from a man she loved but truly didn’t know, and acclimation to a new home and surroundings. In search of peace, she found wonderful chaos.

In the follow-up, we see Maggie being tested again. The man and child she’s come to know and love is leaving her. Will intervention from a number of outside sources convince her to follow her heart? Is she willing to uproot herself for a second chance at happiness?

Author Linda Bradley shows us another side...a stronger side...of a heroine I already admired. It could only get better from there." -Nancy Fraser, Notes from a Romantic's Heart

2. "Superb writing once again from this author. Her way with words is magical. Linda's characters come alive, jump out of the book and grab you in. I have grown attached to Maggie, John, Chloe and Glad and I am going to miss them...Book 3 can't come soon enough!" - Roni Hall, author of Montana Wild

This book continues one year later with Maggie, Chole, John and of course Bones. It is still a series that will warm your heart. This book continues on with the relationship between Maggie and John. Also between Maggie and John's ex-wife. I great beach read. The characters come to life in Linda Bradley's books. You feel like they are your best friends. You cheer for them, you cry with them and of course you laugh with them. Introduced in this book is Chole's grandpa from Montana...He's bigger then life with a heart a big. I cannot wait for the next book in this series to see where Linda Bradley takes us. Montana here we come.....

Part of the Montana Bound series, you can follow the story line without reading book 1 but it was helpful to have the background. Maggie loves living next door to John and his young daughter Chloe and is shocked to learn they are thinking of moving to Montana. Maggie takes Chloe to New York to visit with her famous model mother and they form a unique friendship that helps Maggie discover home is where the heart is. A sentimental wholesome love story that is developed over time, not a whirlwind. Looking forward to book 3.
