Description
I'm used to going for the easy things in life.
The easy A in school.
The easy lay in bed. The easy life my trust fund affords me.
Until I met Shelby.
Never in my life have I found retro T-shirts and ChapStick so damn sexy.
She's exactly what I never knew I wanted.
And she's *anything* but easy.
But suddenly, easy is overrated.
Only one damn problem... For Shelby, *hating me* is easy.
For the first time in my life, I have to work for something. And though
she may not be easy...she'll be worth it.

Starting her senior year of college, Shelby Stevens is finally moving out of the dorm and into a beautiful, modern, safe apartment building. She'd saved for years to be able to afford this move. And it hadn't been easy. After the recent death of her mother, Shelby has no family. And having come from a single parent home, no money. But she does have student loans and 2 dear friends. Two friends who are her rock and know all of her secrets. Most importantly, they know how her life changed after that horrible night. A night where she had been betrayed by someone she should have been able to trust. Since then, Shelby has worked to control her "attacks" but still suffers from loss and self doubt. When she stumbles into who she assumes is the doorman, Shelby can't help but be drawn to the good looking, personable young man. After discovering he is not a doorman but a resident, Shelby assumes he must be the spoiled kid of affluent parents so she is determined to resist his charms. But he proves very hard to resist.
Tate Michaelson has had a pretty easy life. The son of the governor, he's never had to worry about finances. But that's all he's gotten from his parents. They were never attentive and only spent time with him if the press was around to photograph it. Still, he's never had to work hard for anything. Until Shelby. He thought she was beautiful. She may be wound a little too tight but he loved getting under her skin. When Shelby needs a French tutor to keep from losing her scholarship, Tate is more than happy to help. Shelby was different from any girl he knew. Especially different from his ex. There wasn't a deceitful bone in Shelby's body. When a college prank lands Tate with community service, he ends up working at the tutoring center where Shelby works. It's as if the fates are determined to throw these 2 together. But can their budding relationship stand up to the ghosts of their pasts and the differences between them.
What a great love story! Though very young, I found Tate and Shelby wise beyond their years. Shelby is a driven student. She's worked hard for everything she has. Having endured the things she has, trust is a problem for her. She has a very small group of friends who know her well and for her, friends are family. When she first meets Tate, she thinks he's pretty much an ass, but throughout their tutoring experiences, she sees what an attentive, nurturing, and playful person he is. As their romance develops, he makes her realize that she's tired of hiding from her feelings. Tate makes her want to try to work past her inhibitions. Tate, though he had led a charmed life, was really a likeable guy. Despite the lack of love and affection from his parents, he had a positive approach to life and was a very patient and caring boyfriend. Though he didn't know exactly what had happened in Shelby's past, he knew she had demons. But he was willing to deal with the darkness because he knew there was something bright and beautiful beyond it. Most 21 year old guys would have never gone to the lengths Tate did to make Shelby feel comfortable. Katana Collins writes heartwarming, sexy, contemporary romance. I love that many of her stories deal with real life issues and in a realistic way. Her books will pull at your heart strings, make you laugh, and steam you up. Her characters are authentic and her writing style is natural. If you love stories that pull you in, that you just can't put down, then Blind Spot is the book for you. A Book Obsessed Chicks Review Team Selection
So emotional, so heart-achingly sexy and yet sweet with a hero I did NOT picture as a hero at first, and a young woman who has been through some serious stuff. I fell hard for Blind Spot and it was amazing with a roller coaster of emotions and a romance that was just my type.
The characters I found truly endearing. I loved how there was a unique quirkiness and irresistible charm to both our hero and heroine. And the plot, OMG how I LOOOOOVED the plot! I enjoyed this book very much. I giggled, I cried, I fell head over heels in L-O-V-E with our hero. I enjoyed how gentle, sweet, and absolutely charming he was with Shelby. This book fed ALL my needs and I can't wait to see what is next from Katana Collins!
Blind Spot gets an EMOTIONALLY CHARGED FOUR AND A HALF STARS! This book broke my heart, mended it back together, had me in tears, and yet was one of the BEST romances I have read in a long time. Definitely worth BUYING!
