The Prayer of Protection

Joseph Prince presents a full, very uplifting in-depth study of Psalms 91, or as he terms it, the prayer of protection that could not be more relevant for the perilous times we live in today. He deepens our understanding of scripture through the Hebrew language, backed up by very personal testimonies of those who have experienced God's special brand of protection in times where our human understanding cannot. Prince's style of writing is informal, but very much like a preacher who does not hide behind the use of officious language or vague ambiguities, which makes the book very suitable for the layman Christian. Above all, it is Prince's clear exultation of the Lord and His abilities - above man's - that would make this a draw for those who seek something beyond fallible human understanding and experience.

Love watching Joseph Prince on television so I was exciting to request this book. I was not disappointed. The prayers in this book are wonderful. I am glad that I requested this book. Looking forward to more from Joseph Prince

This book is one celebrative(how Mr. Prince rejoices in the fact that JESUS paved the way for us to have the ability to have the chance of the Protection through HIS blood ), clear-cut( how Mr. Prince tells you with Scripture and stories how the Prayer of Protection works for us), compassionate (the way Mr. Prince presents the concepts of the Prayer of Protection to us), and everlasting (how this Prayer is eternal from the time of David to now til the end of time). The major thing I want to say is that my Father was a pastor - he is now promoted to Glory (passed away) - and the one thing he drilled into me is that when someone tries to tell you something no matter who it is - a pastor - a book writer - a friend - whoever - whatever they try to tell you DO NOT take it at face value - you ALWAYS make sure they back it up with Scripture - and when they do back it up with Scripture you make sure that they do not twist the Scripture to fit what they are saying and you do that by reading the surrounding Scripture - and if that does not fit then - well you get what I am saying. Mr. Prince does ALL of this and then some - I find this rare in books these days - a lot of books tend to put their opinions and rarely back it up, this is refreshing and very informative and I just out and out loved it.

The Prayer of Protection: Fearless Living in Dangerous Times is the newest offering from Joseph Prince, Bible teacher and senior pastor of New Creation Church, a fast- growing church in Singapore with a congregation of more than 30,000. Prince also has an international broadcast ministry. This volume examines Psalm 91 verse by verse, with Prince offering his interpretation of the psalm. He translates from the original Hebrew and Greek words and elaborates on the promises and protection to be found in this psalm if it is used as a prayer by believers. Testimonies by real people who belong to his church or listen to his broadcast ministry are also included. As a reader of the Bible, who has made her own studies of it, and who has tried to live a life of faith, I agreed with 95% of Prince's interpretations in this book which I thought was better written and deeper than some of his previous books which were quite short. I found it an inspirational read.

Joseph Prince is amazing. He has such a great story and is a powerful speaker. I'm not sure if his writing is as effective but I still think this book is worth the read.

Joseph Prince has written many books on significant areas of the Christian life. His new book focuses on the promise of God's protection in the life of every believer. Too many times believers tend to deny danger around them, and claim it is because they know God's protection is available. But just as salvation must be received, so must all of the promises of God. Prince walks us through Psalm 91 as the model for the keys to abiding in the secret place. He demonstrates through clear language, and many specific examples from the Bible, that every Christian can walk in a place of supernatural protection and only "observe with your eyes" the outcome of the wicked.

Though the news tirelessly reports on danger, calamity, crises, terrorism, war, etc., the body of Christ is not vulnerable IF they follow the precepts in God's Word. God made provision for days just like these, and all we must do is read, understand, and act on His counsel.

Joseph Prince details every angle of this place of safety. His insight into the language of God's Word, including the original Hebrew of this Psalm, will bring fresh revelation and hope into the heart of everyone who studies this book, and activate this promise of protection in our daily lives.
